for the Thunder.  Lebron cramping, Westbrook going off, Chalmers was HUGE.  Westbrook with the bonehead foul sending Chalmers to the line after not knowing the shot clock didn’t reset.  Thunder needed this game and let it slip away.

they keep leaving shooters wide open and there not rebounding well. Dallas won in part last year because of the zone they played. Try to force lebron and wade to make jump shots to beat you. Right now they double team lebron with guards he can see right over and he dumps it off for a wideopen 3

How did Scott Brooks not recognize to force LeBron to be active on defense by switching onto him. He was gaurding Thabo for Gods sake.

Scott Brooks needs to change his strategy and play zone. Lebron and Wade are getting to the rim at ease play zone and cut them off and since OKC is leaving shooters open anyway it shouldnt matter that zones tend to leave people open. Maybe run a 2-3 but to me the perfect defense against the Heat would be a 1-3-1  i’ll explain

1- Westbrook or Sefolosha man the top since they are the best defenders and the can stay infront of who evers brings the ball up.

3- Durant on one wing, Ibaka in the middle, Sefolosha or Westbook on the other wing, with the Thunder lenght getting into or passing the lane is going to be tough.

1-Perkins is going to lock down the paint playing on ball side and anytime anyone comes through the lane he;s going to make the feel the pain.

Playing this defense elimates the Heat getting to the basket at will, Shooters aren’t going to be as open as before( corner threes maybe the only weakness), Thunders lenght can really disrupt the passing lanes, Ibaka is going to be an great position to challenge alot of shots controling the middle of the floor and will to be in great positions as a weakside shot blocker and etc.

With this defense the Thunder can basically build a wall in the middle of the paint and wherever the Heat drives there going to be atleat 2-3 defenders waiting and when the ball is reversed the Thunder have enough lenght and speed to shift sides and build that same wall on the opposite player. Also it puts the wings in better postion to contest miami’s shooters.

Maybe its alittle to late but a defensive strategy changed is need, also get Durant the Damn ball more. Westbrook had a great game today and he kept OKC in it, and i have no problem with him getting his but they need to find better ways to get Durant the ball more only 19 shots again this game smh. Durant needs to be more aggressive towards getting it and Scott Brooks needs to design better sets and plays for him to get it simple as that.

James Harden simply cant take anymore games off  if OKC wants to make history and be the team thata came back from a 3-1 deficit. His play this series has been terrible and he’s the main reason they are down. Everyone has a rough strecth but to me he isn’t playing his type of game, lately he’s been trying to do to much but tonight he looked scared to do anything.

Ohh, I did notice Lebron guarding Thabo and thought, that is nice that he gets to rest. But damn, I didn’t think of having Thabo set a screen and force Lebron to switch and play D. That might have knocked Lebron out of the game he was hurting that bad.

But I guess you spend the entire series trying to stay away from Lebron’s defense, it is hard to make the adjustment. Or at least too hard for Brooks.

As good as this series has been so far, these are not good coaches in the finals. Definitely these young guys have a lot to learn.

I dont think they are ready for this moment yet… Harden definately is not…The ref’s swallowed their whistles this game and it seemed to really get in Durant’s head. I dont think he can play angry.. where has Harden’s his game gone? I think he is scared to drive becuse miami is so good at closing off lanes and taking charges. He should work on his midrange game and maybe some pick and roll/ pop with Ibaka..It looks like its next year for the darling wunderkinder of the NBA.
