Sam Presti says he’s exploring all trade and options to make this team better so let’s take a look at the current roster.

    Russell Westbrook/Semaj Christon

    Victor Oladipo/Alex Abrines/Terrance Ferguson

    Andre Roberson(RFA)/Jerami Grant (RFA)/Kyle Singler

    Taj Gibson(UFA)/Doug McDermott(expected to slide to PF)/Domantas Sabonis/Josh Huestis

    Steven Adams/ Enes Kanter

Ok so Getting rid of Kanter’s contract would be a homerun even if we got a slightly worse player who’s cheaper our biggest holes are on the wing and we direly need a backup for Russ no offense Semaj but we need  you to go over seas. Taj wants to play for a chip could be the next David West for whatever team I fear the Nets might buy Roberson Or Jerami grant ..what are some realistic options/trades/free agents OKC should explore ?

If we dumped Kanter’s contract, Blake Griffin or Paul Millsap could be in play; I think Millsap would be a better fit because Blake seems like he wants to handle the ball but I’d be ecstatic about both.

Having the worst backup PG in the league isn’t a good plan, so obviously we need to pick someone up. Just looking at a list of free agents without knowing contract situations, Darren Collison could be a good pickup

One of my many hopes for this season is that Josh Huestis can finally come in and replicate Roberson’s defense

       …and hopefully exceed Roberson’s offence.

At least make some free throws in the playoffs. I can’t stand to see an opposing bench (aka all guys who aren’t good enough to get in the game) laugh at one of our guys for being so pathetic at something

Most high school players exceed Robersons offense.

I wonder if a team like Nets would take Kanter, they have no reason to worry about tanking next season and season after if he opted in he’d be an expiring deal. Sam Presti has a couple of first rounders due to go to Utah and Orlando over the next couple of drafts so he’d have to be creative to add assets to any Kanter trade.

Kanter gets paid for the next two seasons. Might be a hefty price tag to take on his contract. But if I’m OKC realistically ANYONE on that team not named Westbrook is available if the opposing team is taking on Kanter’s contract. They’re not competing for a title unless they sign some all-star level talent and thats not happening unless they free up some cap space.

Kanter and Olidipo both need to go. Kanter is Basically Jahill Okafor and Olidipo doesn’t fit well with Westbrook and both are receiving way to much money. Ship them both To Portland For Allen Crabbe, Mo Harkless, myers Leonard and a draft pick and call it a day.

If every thing works out we have cap in 2018/2019,This is heavily reliant on Russell giving us a verble confirmation he will stay and taking his deal after we get some names in first in 2019 though…Kanter is a free agent then and could resign for a lot cheaper and reups after we get other F.A’s or allowed to move on. Russell is eligible for a super max but maybe could convinced to leave some money(ala Dirk)  on the table to get some more talent come 2019 and reup after we get the other F.A’s first then sign(ala Kawhi)..

As for the stars mention: So let me gets this straight we want to target who is injury prone as hell and not much of an upgrade over Kanter(IMO)?Kanter plays more games than Griffin also… Millsap does fit. but is probably going to be super popular amongest a lot of teams but do we really think he worth a max or we will even get in the room with him? Even if we did some how get one of Blake/Millsap then we would have to fill another hole for example Kanter goes-Who fills our consistent bench scoring then? if Oladipo goes who on our current roster is really an upgrade over him? It just essentially leads us back to the same team/issues we have now…

Our Best bet is this structure all new deals so we have cap space in 2019 and go big name hunting then: Such as Lebron(if you believe he is going to still be good then), Jimmy B,Demarcus Cousins,Harden(if he doesn’t re up),John wall(if we move Russell to off the ball),K.D if this 1+1 deal is what is happening and if he would come back to pull a lebron..,Klay T(probably wouldn’t but why not put his name there),Khris middleton(if he opts out),Avery bradley,Al horford if he opts out just to name a few..Worst case we can get one big name Jimmy b sort of player or two smaller names like a Avery bradley or Khris Midleton sort of player..

So all it takes is one more average team season and before you know it we could be right back in the mix of contender status(assuming we can land one more piece) and will have built even more on our current chemistry by then so there is that also..

1.) OKC is Not a NBA prime Destination Especially with Westbrook at PG.

2.)Enes Kanter is no where worth 70 mill as a 6th man that Plays no Defense and only good 4 scoring around or close to the basket

3.) Kahwi is not leaving Greg Pop and the Spurs. No chance. Especially not to go to OKC.

4.)Westbrook with his playing style only has a few more years to play with this intesity. God forbid injury. He goes in night in and out with unmatched Aggression, Passion, and Intensity. Battling downlow for defensive rebounds then coming down court and Attacking the bigs offensively. Takes its tolls

Bottom line is if you can get a star player great. If not surround him with floor spacers asap. Everybody on that roster can go besidea Russ and Adams. And they do need to work rather quickly if they wanna get the best Of russ and have the best chance of winning

With the Nets taking Kanter, the theory was their pick goes to Boston next year so just try to do as well as you can next season and then he is expiring contract in 2018-19. How much Kanter would help or hinder a tank I don’t know.
