BigChamp12ParticipantPost your comments about the game here…
Also there has been a lot of talk about Russell Westbrook and his style of play as a point guard… Comment on the way he plays today whether he plays good, bad, or whether he’s not getting other players involved more etc..
Currently he’s off to a fast start with 12points 2rebounds 2 assists, while KD has 10points, 1reb, and 2assts…0 - Posted on: Sun, 03/03/2013 - 11:23am #752171

XYRYXParticipantFor the start he needs to stop shooting all this three pointers. He is forcing the long shots too much, not today in general I mean. He is already a good shooter from midrange and really should stop it. Ibaka is taking some threes this year and making some of them. Durant and Martin are way better and Russ should only take uncontested threes. If or when is percentages go up his lack of distributing and playmaking skills are a lot easier to live with.
People are always bashing him for what he is not but he really has come a looong way to this point AND is a reason why this team is winning not despite imo.
But this doesn’t mean he is finished or reached his peak. He will be considered top 10 over the next few years and top 3 point guard when he stops forcing the long shots and learns how to change speed more often.
At least he has the will and desire to be great and from what I read and see he is coachable, just to hard trying sometimes.

For_Never_EverParticipantI don’t get this lineup the Clippers are using. Why is Blake the center, and Grant Hill the PF ?

BigChamp12ParticipantIm not quite sure either… Maybe it was just to try something different. But Matt BArnes and Lamr Odom each has 3 fouls and Blake has 2. Maybe its so Blake could guard Perkins on Defense

For_Never_EverParticipantBillups shouldn’t be starting anymore either. He isn’t a threat driving to the rim, and pretty much just a designated 3 point shooter. This team should have kept the same lineup and rotation that it had at the beginning of the season.

CmaddogParticipantBut is there ANY reason for him to be averaging more shot attempts than maybe the best pure scorer in the world? I think that until the day he realizes he is Robin to Durant’s Batman is the day they become unstoppable.

For_Never_EverParticipantRegardless everyone on OKC is looking good today. The Clippers looks like they are trying to find them self or lost their identity. This isn’t much of a test for the Thunder.

For_Never_EverParticipantWow, the clippers made a surge and has finally took a lead with about a minute left. This game is getting intetesting.

For_Never_EverParticipantWestbrook was very impressive today. I didn’t see that ball hogging selfish player show up at all in this game.

I agree with you 100% about Billups. The Clippers need to go back to starting Green. Their guard rotation should be Paul, Green, Crawford and Bledsoe.
And the Clippers are a weak half-court team. I can’t see them beating the Spurs or Thunder in the playoffs.
