OhCanada-ParticipantId like to see some non biased opinions on his upside. I think the skies the limit for him but I dont really trust my own opinion when it comes to Raps content and I just watched Demar Derozan develop from Courtney Lee without a jumpshot to Kobe Bryant without a killer instinct so I kinda got that anythings possible type attitude.
Is OG a good enough piece to trigger a rebuild around?

whiteflashParticipantDeRozan is NOWHERE NEAR Kobe Bryant, killer instinct or not.

ZarathustraParticipantThe dream would be a Kawhi like progression of course but a better version of Mbah a Moute, whom i respect a lot, seems more realistic,an important piece to a really good team.

festar35ParticipantHis game kind of reminds me of Kris Middleton so I think his ceiling could be somewhere around there. His ideal role at that ceiling I think he will be similar to Klay Thompson (as mentioned I don’t think that is who he plays like), a really good 3rd option but at the same time a guy that could get it done as a 2nd option as well.
His floor is around the Robert Covington mold, great defender and a catch-shoot kind of guy.
Ultimately it will depend on how he develops offensively, by improving his ball-handling and playmaking abilities.

ZarathustraParticipantMiddleton is a 20ppg scorer with shooting touch, footwork,ISO skills and pretty good playmaking abilities.
OG could be a 1-5 defender (!) while being a mix of Taurean Prince , Mbah a Moute , James Johnson , Harkless, Aminu.

OhCanada-ParticipantThese are all pretty good comparisons i would agree with.

HeGotBrainParticipantI’m a Raps guy. Never compare Derozan to Kobe again. That is mind bendingly stupid. Derozan, in reality, is the world’s best 6th man disguised as an All-Star. Please just stop. As far as OG is concerned, it’ll be a long, hard climb to potential All-Star but i’m optimistic. I wouldn’t bet on it but stranger things have happened. Let’s hope he improves his skills at all facets. He’s got the size and demeanor to do alot of good things on defence for years to come. Good luck to that kid.

marcusfizer21ParticipantThe kid took a heavy assignment in guarding LeBron in the playoffs. Hats off to him for that!

raybeasParticipantUnless/until he learns to handle it better, he’ll be a 3-and-D combo forward.
He’ll need to learn to dribble and pass with his head up before he reaches Kris Middleton’s level.
Physically, he’s got everything you want in a young basketball player. He seems to have developed an accurate 3 point shot. Now his ability to learn and improve will determine how far he will go in the NBA.

r377ParticipantI was wondering did they actually draft him for the one and only reason of someone trying to guard Lebron ?
I think he had some injuries in college but was prob worth a gamble at 23.
I see a James Johnson type, will he be as good – im not sure i haven’t seem enough of him…
Hope he can stay injury free
