NbanflguyParticipantGame starts in about 15 minutes.
Who ya got winning? MVP? What you looking forward to seeing?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 2:27pm #641617
RICO 1981ParticipantI got the East winning with D.Rose as the MVP. 25,10, 9
I have to say i am looking forward to Iguodala playing just because I am glad he got to an All Star game.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 2:27pm #641616
OhCanada-ParticipantNicki Minaj is so annoying but still a smokeshow. I muted my television and kept watchng.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 2:31pm #641618
Critically ThinkingParticipantive got the east winning and dwight being the mvp cuz hes hosting this game. theyll probably try and feed him alot of highlight dunks. Im looking forward to seeing the bench for the east. Alot of those guys made it based on having a good all around game and not just scoring (Deng, Iggy, Rondo)
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 2:32pm #641619
OhCanada-ParticipantI think Rose is going to be rested heavily, his coach is running the show tonight. Lebron runs the show for the East, Kobe for the West. Iggy with the most exciting highlight, West with the win, Kobe with the MVP…again.

NbanflguyParticipantMinaj is the most annoying person in music and 2nd weirdest behind Lady Gaga. She would be really hot to if she would take the wigs off!

Critically ThinkingParticipantoh yeah and is nicki minaj really still out there? cmon man!!

F_DA_POParticipantthe look on Rose’s face when dwight and lebron were acting like fools was hilarious.
0- Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 2:50pm #641630
Tobe BryantParticipantI thought I was the only one who noticed how Rose was acting when LeBron and Co. was going all Miami Heat

OhCanada-ParticipantFunny how they grab some stereotypical scrubs for OhCanada yet they grab Mary J. Blige for the Star Spangled Banner.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 2:37pm #641625
RICO 1981ParticipantThat is a good point @OhCanada, I think that if he gets on a role early thibodeau won’t freak out and bench him early.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 2:43pm #641626
aamir543Participant^Glad I wasn’t the only one that noticed the look on Rose’s face.
And I wasn’t the only one that muted the TV when Niki Manaj was singing apparently. Most songs now days are remixed and played with, it just makes your head hurt.
I’ve got Durant nailing 6 threes and winning the MVP as the West wins in a close one. The team that starts playing defense first wins though, and the fact that Thibs is the East coach, makes me think that the East might clamp down defensively.
The crowd was so WEAK in the introductions, it was suspicious. Usually corwds are amped up for this type of game, but other than Dwight, there was no cheering. Hopefully the game will be good, but this All-Star Weekend has been a major dissapointment thus far.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 2:56pm #641631
NbanflguyParticipantWe need Lebron in the dunk contest!
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 2:59pm #641633
OhCanada-ParticipantRose is easily my favourite basketball player since Carter played for the Raptors. That one clip alone of Lebron, Dwight, and Wade dancing like retards while Rose stoo there humble as can be not buying into the nonsense. Thats after a huge payout as well, and he still stays humble. The league needs more players like Rose and Chicago fans are blessed to have him.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 3:00pm #641634
OllstarParticipantYa Rose is freaking steel, cant phase the man. He’ll kill you with his gaze.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 3:01pm #641635
I May Be WrongParticipantI just wanna see Durant jack shots and try to break a scoring record tonight lol
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 3:14pm #641639
WrecklessParticipant@OhCanada
So just because Howard, Wade, and Lebron dance means those guys aren’t humble? Its the all star game, a break, there supposed to have fun.0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 3:28pm #641642
OhCanada-ParticipantI didnt say they werent humble I said they looked retarded.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 3:48pm #641644
BasterdInABasketParticipantThe first half defense or the pregame and halftime music?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 4:02pm #641646
Maniac MaciejParticipantLeBron should win the dunk contest based on his in-game dunks alone.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 4:07pm #641647
BasterdInABasketParticipantLebron and Iggy both did that same right handed cradle left handed windmill. Those were better than all the one ball dunks last night.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 4:23pm #641649
Champzilla21ParticipantUgh how the hell did a portland athletic trainer make the all star team, if theres one team in the league u dont trust its them, theyve had more majot injuries their to main players that its not even funny anymore it should be the enitre suns staff everyyear.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:09pm #641658
mikeyvthedonParticipantI know Durant has been as well, but LeBron has easily made the most ridiculous shots in the game. He is putting on one hell of a show.
Most disappointing player: Dwight Howard. It is possibly one of the last times you will be playing as part of the Magic, in front of your hometown fans. Even if you re-sign, man has he been just not himself. It is hard to be disappointed in the way a player plays in the All-Star game, but Dwight fits the bill. It wasn’t just taking way too many three pointers (I’ve seen him drain practicing before games), but he has just been much more passive than one would expect for the supposed "host".
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:10pm #641656
KayjayParticipantJames….my goodness….
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:11pm #641657
akhan786ParticipantApparently Lebron only shows up in the 4th Quarter if it’s an All Star Game…figures.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:13pm #641659
frogmanParticipanthahaha very funny, however cant really blame the athletic trainer for terrible injuries, I see where you are coming from though.
It’s the all star game, we want to see the superstars of the game having fun and not care that the look stupid. Ill get rolled for this but Rose seems so boring, crack a smile man, have some fun. Have you listened to him get interviewed, he has no charisma or personality. I know, it doesn’t matter because he is payed to play basketball but as big as their egos are Kobe, Lebron and Howard etc. make it much more interesting.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:20pm #641663
llperezmvp goes to either durant or lebron depending on which team wins. And that google comercial with kenny smith and david aldridge commentating on the youtube backyard basketball game right now was better then anything during the superbowl, that had me rolling.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:22pm #641665
joecheck88ParticipantRussell Westbrooks last dunk was a whole lot of nasty. Much better dunks tonight than last night.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:22pm #641667
IndianaBasketballParticipantEven Kobe was mad LeBron didn’t take that shot… Jeez
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:26pm #641668
Stevenhahahah lebron, "the best player in the game" doesnt get the last shot of the ALL STAR GAME! smh
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:26pm #641673
IndianaBasketballParticipantAs phenomenal as LeBron is, I just don’t get him. Why throw that pass? He was on fire. I mean, even Kobe got on him for not shooting it.
I just don’t get that guy…
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:29pm #641670
Stevenyup lebron hater right here. bring on the negatives you b#@*^es
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:29pm #641671
llperezlebron not even on the court for the final three when he’s 6-8 from down town? And where was his mind on that last turnover, the man he threw to wasnt even remotely open.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:30pm #641674
joecheck88ParticipantYea I didn’t like the last play. Anybody was a good option but you could argue wade was the worst option. Plus, he was running towards the ball and all his momentum was going away from the basket. It was going to he a tough shot. I think they should have had Lebron shooting coming off a screen going towards the top of the key 3.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:31pm #641676
NYCrealdealParticipantyall know skip gona kill "Prince James" tm…hes goin to go IN on him.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:31pm #641677
IndianaBasketballParticipantLeBron can’t even be clutch in the All-Star game… He was on fire too.
Smh… I just don’t understand him. King Shrinkage.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:33pm #641675
llperezand props to the former ucla bruins. Westbrook with 21 points and a huge rebound and put back off kobe’s missed shot in the last 2 minutes and love with 17 and 7 in just 18 minutes. He looked like he really belonged and could have had a monster game if they gave him serious minutes.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:40pm #641680
llperezlebron was the most impressive in this game imo, even more so then durant. He showed passion and aggessiveness throughout the second half. He looked like he wanted to be the man and did eveything possible. But then he just checked out of it. He should have pulled a scottie pippen and demanded that last play be called for him instead of imbounding the ball after he just choked with that turnover.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:44pm #641682
Johnny ChillHe is afraid of the spot light. He should have taken the shot instead of passing it. If he missed, I would be ok with him, at least he tried. But no, he passed.
On the last play, why was Lebron inbounding the ball to Wade? Lebron again afraid of the spot light. He should be the Man and take the shot. If he missed, at least he tried, but no.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:46pm #641684
Michael.S.ParticipantHe did everything but "shrink". He is the one reason the East even had a chance to win it. To blame him is absurd, not that this game even matters, but he took over in the fourth and definitely SHOULD have shot the last shot but D -Will had a great look and he was fairly hot too. He wasn’t going anywhere on that play when he turned it over so he couldnt have gotten a shot off even if he tried imo. And on the shot with a sec left he shouldhave taken it too, but it’s not like he took the shot and shot an airball and choked. Wade’s turnover bobble was the game changing play in this game.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:47pm #641687
IndianaBasketballParticipantIt ain’t the spotlight… It’s the pressure.
I don’t get it… Anyway… Impressive game for him nonetheless. He’s an animal.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:49pm #641686
llperezwades turnover was huge, but durant handing the ball to dwill for a layup right after that cancelled that out.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:52pm #641688
KayjayParticipantAll of you, we will all forget this if the guy wins a ring. I hear what you all are saying, but lets not be blind and see the guy was obviously the most dominating on the court. I wonder if we were ever this cynical when it came to Kobe. Hmmmm
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:53pm #641693
NYCrealdealParticipantyah, wades TO was big…it would have given them the league and we all know who would be taking that shot on the other end. Kobe would. We all know lebron played great and helped his team comeback. But we don’t want to be happy with that and celebrate lebron for putting in the effort but losing in the end. Its time for him to be that guy not only to play great put to win. The first play to deron i can live with. he was hot all game and it seemed like the coach designed it for him. the seccond one he should have never passed it. it was his game to win or lose with his shot. not a cross court pass to wade who hit one three the whole year. and he did have melo open right next to him who wanted the ball. and the last play he was inbouding the ball are you serious. common lerbon you gatta take that shot. yeah, lebron did bring them back but he cost the east the game. he played great but we all know wih 5 secconds left kobe, durant, melo aint passin the ball across the court. and those three are said to be the clutchest in the game.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:55pm #641696
IndianaBasketballParticipantSeriously? LeBron does this consistently though. You can’t make this up… I mean, he just did that ish.
Doesn’t take away the great game he had, but just adds more to the opinion that he shrinks under pressure.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:57pm #641694
llperezlebron wins and things will all quiet down. BUt in the big picture of things, he probably better get 2 rings before he retires to quiet critics becasue one is probably not enough for a guy of his skill and who wants to be placed in the discussion of best ever. He doesnt have to win 5 or 6 to prove anything to me, but he will need more then 1 when all thigns are said and done.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 5:57pm #641695
andxxxParticipantKobe misses a freethrow, he’s still clutch. Dwyane Wade bobbles a pass he normally makes and turns it over, still clutch. Deron Williams misses a wide open three, he’s good. Lebron puts a spark back in the team that brings them all the way back and has 1 bad decision in the last few minutes, he’s a choker. Just making sure I got that straight.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 6:01pm #641697
Critically ThinkingParticipantIm glad to see Durant win the mvp. gotta love his game and attitude.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 6:02pm #641698
llperezlebron doesnt have to make every play down the stetch. KObe certainly doesnt. BUt you know with kobe its not a mental thing since he has done it so many times and is always wanting the ball and the pressure in those situations. Lebron seems to be affected mentally in those situations. He doesnt demand that he is the guy who makes the play. He is completely fine to just put those last second situations in other guys hands.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 6:05pm #641699
inukawaii8Participantjust saw this.. apparently bynum knew
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 6:06pm #641700
andxxxParticipantI would agree with what ya’ll were saying if Lebron wasn’t a beast in the clutch during the playoffs against the Bulls and the Celtics. It just seems, for whatever reason, his mistakes are magnified more. I agree he should have taken the shot, but to say he shrank from the moment from one bad decision seems a bit harsh is all that I’m saying.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 6:24pm #641709
aamir543ParticipantDamn, that was a great game, what a comeback, but that pass, I mean, when they showed the replay from the angle behind Melo, you could see that Melo was open in the corner, but from the second you start learning to play basetball they teach you NOT to make those passes.
It was a bad pass for one because Melo for some reason was shfting from the wing to the corner, and two bcause all of Lebron’s momentum was headed toward the right sideline, and he had to turn his body completly to make that pass, and that was more than enough time for Griffin to read the pass. I understand he was looking for his teamate, but with 5 seconds left and you’re the best player in the game and you have the greatest post-Jordan Player guarding you, you go into killer mode and drain that three.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 8:06pm #641728
Ghost01ParticipantD Wade is overrated as a clutch player…if he wasn’t the Heat would have won the title last year.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/26/2012 - 8:40pm #641743
OhCanada-ParticipantThe fact that I knew exactly what to expect from Lebron from the postgame interview tells me he has done this way too many times. Its just like any other speech, it is either premediatated, routine, or free flowing/improv. It seemed like a routine "just upset I let my team down" speech that he has used time and time again. Thats not something the greats are supposed to say, he may feel like a man saying it, taking accountability but that does not make him great. The fact that you couldnt win the game does play into the fact that you lost it. I thought he would fix this issue by now but apparently he hasnt and it doesnt look like he ever will. If he doesnt he will never be the best player in the world, because there is two minutes in the fourth qaurter when he plays like the worst on the floor.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 02/27/2012 - 5:28am #641777
Maniac MaciejParticipantDid you guys watch the entire game? There was no need for anyone to be clutch if not for LeBron’s ridiculous performance in the first 47.5 minutes of the game. While Kobe (who should have been deferring to Durant if he wanted to win) was getting fadeaways blocked by D-Wade on one end, LeBron was knocking down 30-foot threes like they were layups. He also made a couple nice plays off the pick and roll once they started to overplay him 30 feet from the basket.
He had one bad pass, but I’m not sure that shooting a contested 3 at that point was the right decision either, and I’m sure he wasn’t the one who asked Coach Thibodeau if he could be the one inbounding the ball on the last play.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 02/27/2012 - 5:32am #641779
IndianaBasketballParticipantDurant was great, but let’s not ignore the stupid pass he threw and the dumb three he quickly took trying to match LeBron.
Everybody made mistakes. Deron Williams air balled a three. D Wade bobbled a pass. Kobe missed a free-throw.
But LeBron coming up short in the clutch and just checking out like just is getting too familiar. His fans are in denial when it’s happening right in front of their face. That doesn’t mean he isn’t great or that he hasn’t made big plays down the stretch before, but it seems he makes these kind of plays more often than not.
