Help me out, since 1999, who’s been UNC’s best pro prospect and why do all thier prospects since 1999 been garbage?

    Go Blue Devils

Wait, no, that isn’t my prediction. It is just the number of UNC players to play in the NBA versus the numbers from Duke. Carolina leads the series 130-99. By the way, did you ever have the best basketball player of all time play at your school? Oh, didn’t think so.

Funny, no Heels or Blue Devils made the All-Star team this year. But, I despise the Blue Devils. Respect them, but hate their guts. Not to mention, if you bring up draft prospects, none have been more disappointing than Dukies. Grant Hill, Elton Brand and Carlos Boozer are exceptions to the rule of Blue Devils underachieving in the NBA like mad men. But, I am sure you would rather take Shelden Williams at #5 than Raymond Felton, right Quentin?

But as the school that produced the greatest amont of recruits in the 80’s and a solid group in the 90’s

explain how since 1999, they haven’t produced a pro worth anything? Raymond Felton is having a breakout year, but he was never a great player always average.

Also, Duke produced Loul Deng and some pretty good role players. Duke isn’t that great of school producing pros, but UNC, which has the Jordan rub…hasn’t produced nothing since 1999

Because the last great UNC player to come out was Vince Carter along with Antwan Jamison in 1998. We can start in 2000 if you want.

While i like the flashes Barnes shows, Zeller is a great Center and I see him having a very productive NBA career. If he is’nt drafted in the lottery there will be some very pissed off owners with their GM’s.

Are we forgetting Irving? Singler? Smith? Come on now…

Smith? As in Nolan Smith? I highly doubt he does anything at the next level if he gets there; I just have no confidence in him succeeding whatsoever.

Why are people high on Plumlee?..his skill level is sooooo low. He’s just athletic and that’s it. He’s not a very good rebounder or scorer considering his size and athletic ability. Personally I’m a fan of Nolan smith but he could go the way of Demarcus Nelson. I think Singler will be a good off the bench player. Irving should be a beast.

Irving will be an all-star caliber point guard, but Smith and Singler have little upside. Especially Smith. Singler is way too slow and is a streaky shooter. He will be drafted in the first round obviously, but I can’t see him being anything more than an average bench player with his lack of quickness. I’m not a big fan at all of Plumlee. He seems soft and has no offensive game when he’s actually being guarded by someone his own size.

I agree about Nolan Smith; I doubt he does anything special or lasts in the league. He seems destined to go the DeMarcus Nelson route.
Plumlee? I have no idea either. I don’t see much there..

A couple of overrated players, very good at the college level, but very little chance to succeed in the NBA

UNC just has tooooo much athleticism, size, and quickness.

They’re so much fun to watch.

You have Barnes at 6’8, Henson at 6’10, and Zeller at 7’0.

These guys move as well as opposing guards who are 6’1 or 6’2.

    It just isn’t fair.

And now you have Playmaker Marshall settin’ it up.

    Potential Final Four team.

I just hope they don’t get too good a seed.

Cuz if they’re only a 4 or so then people are gonna shy away from having them go far.

But if they’re a 2 then a lot of people are gonna jump all over that and put them in the Final Four.

Also never said the game was over. Just stated the obvious. Teams that shoot alot of threes are not out of it till the end( trust me that’s why Maryland only has one title instead of two)

The past few times he has had the ball/rebound stolen from him he has stayed behind to complain to the refs and took his time to jog down the court on d

Yea Singler has. Looks like he has being a NBA player down pat. Usually take a player Three years in the NBA till he gets the hang of the whining and not running back on D

I dont think he is too slow to be a good bench player/fringe starter in the NBA. There have been slower players then him and he has a very high basketball IQ and he’s skilled

Smith absolutely dominated….I wanted Barnes to be assertive, but at least he shut down Singler. Marshall is going to be a great player…He has amazing court vision and he plays at a good pace. I’d like him to improve his mid range game, though.

I think Duke is a better team than NC this year, though the gap is certainly closing. The thing that is crazy to me is that a kid like Austin Rivers saying that their is no rivalry between the two and that it is all Duke. Does he have any sense of history? I do not know the context he said it under, I hope he was kidding, but, I do not see a DraftExpress video confirming that, so, sounds pretty ridiculous to me. Yes, Duke wazed NC last year and won the chip. But NC did the year before. Plus, give Ty Lawson some time and he will become a quality player. Yes, NC have kind of gone Duke on us since 1999, but, Duke guys have still gone Duke.

Luol Deng has been a good to average player, but their have been a number of duds. Shelden Williams, Gerald Henderson thus far, Josh McRoberts failed to live up to in college and Chris Duhon sure helped those Knicks of yours. Both programs kind of went through a struggle period. Not to mention that losing your coach tends to be difficult, when Dean Smith left, the Heels kind of struggled. Still, they have the same amount of chips since 1999, don’t they? You may like Duke better than you like NC, but spare me the "Duke produces better NBA players" thing, and know that UNC is gaining on you after a very down year.
