Ghost01ParticipantDon’t know how many of you have seen it, but Joakim Noah’s play at the end of the game tonight defined his value. Under 10 seconds left, Bellinelli misses a 3, he hustle the ball down, makes an almost impossible save to keep it from going out of bounds, crashes into the stands, as the ball bounces to Bellinelli and he finishes with an And 1 to give the Bulls the lead. Unbelievable how much heart this guy gives.

HaleParticipantNow you see why I wouldn’t trade him and Deng for Love.

druneave3ParticipantKey word, or. Deng or Noah. $$ wouldn’t work with both, and you are giving up 2 all stars, as Noah will make it this year, for one.

HaleParticipantI know you started the thread but I wasn’t referring to you. If you go down near the bottom of the page you see me debating it.

sixersman111ParticipantNoah is a great leader for the bulls. I believe they would have won the first round last year against the sixers if he didn’t get hurt.

ChewyParticipanttrade Noah and Deng for Dwight Howard (provided by some miracle that I was assured he would sign long term).
The Bulls are playing way above their ability level due to Tibs having them play hard every night. And yes, in the NBA simply having 12 guys play hard every night will be enough to get you a ton of wins that you should not have had otherwise.
The Management in Chicago gave up on this team when they blew up the Bench Mob (except for Asik- there was nothing they could do about a contract like that).

Moon RiverParticipantHoward claims it is too “cold” in Chicago for Howard (seriously- he said that). He was apparently also miffed that D. Rose did not go out of his way to recruit him to Chicago. And- apparently Addidas has a problem with having Howard and D. Rose in the same market. Last but not least, Paxson and Gar Foreman are not as enamored with Howard as others are. Not the type of heart that they look for in a player.

Status QuoParticipantDeng and Noah for Howard is a Laker’s fan wet dream. As a Bulls fan, I’m secure in the fact that Chicago is not dumb enough to get robbed like that. Howard is 27 yrs old and about to sign a big money contract this summer with a suspect back. If Forman and Paxson were legit drunks, they’d make that trade, then watch him walk in free agency because he’s too soft to play in Chicago with an alpha dog like Rose and a no nonsense coach like Tibs.
Noah and Deng for Howard is a David Khan type trade. Noah is on a cheaper contract, has gotten better each season and is the heart of Tibs defensive attack. He covers ground better than any big in the league, he is one of the top passing centers in the league not named Gasol and he gives you effort only Anderson Varejo can match. Deng is your top perimeter defender and eventual trade chip with his expiring contract. The Lakers come off in that trade by dumping the biggest *itch in the league and actually getting competitors to play alongside Kobe, Nash and Gasol.
Once again, Paxson and Forman aren’t sadistic drunks who like to play with their owners money. Only Jimmy Buss can completely take a perennial contender out of contention in the matter of two trades (Odom and Howard), dangling your second best player (Gasol) around in trade rumors for 2 seasons while alienating your fan base and best player by not hiring your sister’s fiancee to coach the team.

ChewyParticipantis an amazing defensive center. However, there is no way you can convince me he is a better defensive center than Dwight Howard. I am willing to buy the heart and soul part, but D12 is simply a better player.
Maybe the addition of Deng in the deal was too much and tipped the scales in LA’s favor. I understand that Adidas doesn’t want both in the same market. But it’s sad that that’s even a factor in today’s sports.
I love that Rose doesn’t go out and “recruit” like these other star players. He has that attitude “If your with me then great, if your not then get ready.” If it takes Rose “recruiting Dwight” to get him to sign then I would rather not have him.
