Before everyone gives me negatives, let me say I am not a fan of either team but was thinking this may benefit both sides long term.  Orlando trades Howard since he keeps changing his mind about wanting to be there for New Orleans 2 lottery picks and possibly one of there young players Aminu, Heny.  Orlando gets Anthony Davis to replace Howard and whoever they want at 10.  New Orleans gets a star player and would have the cap space to go after deron williams, which would allow you to sign howard to an extension I would think based off of the rumors and also resigh Eric Gordon.  Just a thought i had curious what people think

DWill, Gordon, and Howard sounds very nice. But will they have enough cap space? Obviously this would have to be something Dwight and Deron would have to discuss otherwise Dwight would never sign an extension and Hornets would never give Davis up

This could MAYBE work if they can get Orl to take back Okafor & Jack along with the picks & Aminu/Henry. But still they’d be pushing it close as far as having cap space to sign D-Will unless he’s willing to take a pay cut like the MIA guys did to team up because I’m sure ORL would want them to take back a bad contract (Hedo or Big Baby).

they would have to trade or amnesty Okafor to stay under the cap, however they could trade for Howard, sign Deron, then sign Eric gordon and howard to an extension allowing them to go over the cap because howard and gordon were both the property of NO at the time this would allow NO to keep okafor if they wanted or trade him later for pieces needed

This won’t work because it’s just too big of a risk. This entire plot hinges on whether Deron Williams would sign a long term deal in NOLA. If he doesn’t, Voila:

    1. You’ve just missed out on top 5 PG Deron Williams.

    2. You’ve just lost #1 Center Dwight Howard.

    3. The Magic have stolen your #1 pick, and potential All-Star Anthony Davis.

    4. Dynamic SG Eric Gordon probably will want out of NOLA.

    5. You’ve set your franchise back at least 2-3 years.

    6. You lose millions of dollars, and look incredibly stupid in the process.

Only an extreme gambler like Mikhail Prokhorov (owner of the "soon to be" Brooklyn Nets) would try and pull this off. And he’s already failed once. But hey! At least you get a few more lottery picks.

Even if Deron didn’t sign they would still have money for other free agents. He would be option one but there are other top players that added to Gordon and Howard would help you resign Howard

it realistic cause Deron Williams and Dwight Howard die to play together and it might be their only option to do so without giving money.

NO: Dwight Howard + Hidayet Turkoglu (sign Deron Williams and resign Eric Gordon)

ORL: #1(Anthony Davis )+ #10(Terrence Ross) + Emeka Okafor + Trevor Ariza + Jarrett Jack

I can’t believe we’re actually thinking of a deal for the top pick that would make sense. But if this was ever discussed, I’m sure NO could get Orl to be happy with only the top pick. I say Okafor and #1 for Howard. I mean Orlando will need a bruiser inside with Davis, and no other possible deal will come close. Sign Deron, resign Gordon, draft a pf with the 10th pick.
