WizardofOzParticipantThis is the championship game of the Nike Real Run Tournament. They hold this event every year and NBA players and others play in it.

JNixonParticipantLOL Nick Young has some big-time moves man…..I hate that he can’t be smarter, otherwise he’d be a top young offensive player

Lotto StudParticipantI also think Young has an intellectual problem, he seems kind of off to me just by the way he holds a conversation.

ghettosermonParticipantShaun Livingston looked great last year. Now he’ll never live up the expectations and hype mainly because of his knee injury but he can still be a solid player. I really think the Lakers could have saved money since they were bringing back Fisher and Blake and instead signed Livingston to play the triangle and use the money on someone else like Mike Miller or something.

stanford hoopsNaw Blake is a better fit then Shaun. Better shooter anddefender and smarter player. It will be interesting seeing who starts between mcgee and yi

WizardofOzParticipantNo question McGee starts at C for the Wizards this season. This shouldn’t even be a question. Yi has played well during Fiba play, but during his time in the NBA, he has underachieved and is too soft to play C. He has the size to play C, but is too weak. He is a PF/SF. Andray Blatche injured his foot and even though he said he would be ready by training camp, if somehow he is not ready for the regular season, Yi will probably start at PF, but he will not start over McGee at C.

ghettosermonParticipantHuh? Mcgee is the starting Center no doubt. Anyways Yi will be the starting PF when the season opens since Blatche most likely will not be ready with his broken foot.

stanford hoopsGreMCGee but there are better more skilled players out there. People are blinded by dunks and blocks but don’t realize There are other parts as well as the fact he will maybe be a fourth option at best

stanford hoopsIt funny you mention NBA season because mcgee hasn’t exactly set the world on fire during his time. He’s foul prone and has a low defensive iq. Yi has out played him so far and mcgee has only played very well in summer leauge as a third year player vs guys who won’t even be in the NBA. Mcgee is alot less proven in the NBA right now so let’s not get ahead of ourselves because of summer leauge play. Randoplh and d Jordan played very well in summer leauge as second year players and you see how that’s turned out

WizardofOzParticipantWhat the hell is wrong with the dunk? (Shaq,Wilt Dwight have all been All Stars principally dunking the basketball. If someone’s biggest strength is dunking the basketball and he is shooting a great % from the field, I’ll take that all day.
And although he is not the most-polished in the post, he showed in the SL that he has an array of post moves and is not as raw as people think.
And he is still very young. He still has a lot of time to improve. His potential is through the roof.

ghettosermonParticipantYeah not saying he’s near Dwight Howard level but like and Howard he’s a top 5 NBA player even though all he does is dunk, rebound, and block shots. He’ inept 10 feet away from the basket and turns it over passing out of double teams. Like you said he’s the 4th option. If he can score 10 points a game off dunks, rebound, and block shots, what more do you want from your center? He complements Andray Blatche who is a very perimeter oriented big.

stanford hoopsThe problem is mcgee is not as good as any of the people u named. Not even close. The comparisons end at the word dunk. He could dunk
last year. And what exactly did he do last year with just the dunk at his disposal? So like I said there’s more to basketball then just dunking. You should be ashamed that you mentioned mcgee in the same breath as shaq or Dwight0 - Posted on: Thu, 09/02/2010 - 4:07pm #392696

stanford hoops10 points is resonable for h. Even though Dwight doesn’t have alot of offensive moves he’s still better on offense then mcgee. If you mention other Dunkers with mcgee you mention Tyson Chandler or Chris wilcox. Someones who’s skill level he’s on par with or kinda close to

stanford hoopsIf he has risen his defensive iq so he doesn’t stay in foul trouble which limits his minutes
