akhan786ParticipantHave some of those players even said they would play for Nigeria? I know for a fact that Okafor and Rasheed Sulaimon have already played for U17 USA squads.

ENOGSIWONdedeLove to watch Olasawere play the Blackbirds could be dangerous this year , samll chance they could make a final four run.

RotelaParticipantWe are hypothetically speaking here, Al Farouq Aminu and Ike Diogu played for the USA junior teams, but they are now with the Nigerian team. As long as the option is there, i dont see why they cant accept the invitation.

akhan786ParticipantI think some wouldn’t (Okafor) because they would have a great chance to some day be part of the USA senior national team.

RotelaParticipantWell the choice is still there for him, He has been to Nigeria before, so he is familiar with the culture..

ENOGSIWONdedeMaybe but he will have to move from center to SF in the NBA though he is quick and pretty good off the dribble, not sure exactly how big he is either?

RotelaParticipantSome games I saw him play, he was playing more on the wing, he is 6’7 which is an ideal size for a SF

Coby KarlParticipantThose players would have a hard time beating the USA Select team let alone our Olympic team. I’d be surprised if they come within 20.

JoeWolf1Yeah, Nigeria’s starting SF averaged 6 ppg for a losing team, Team USA’s was the MVP of the league and an NBA Champion.
Team USA is a lot better than Nigeria’s squad this year.

ENOGSIWONdedeyou last two posters are very confused he was talking about under 23 not Olympic team and he never said anything about them playing against the USA?

JoeWolf1He said Olympic team. There is only one Olympic basketball team for the US, but you’re right there seems to be a level of miscommunication.
