bkballerParticipantmy early opinions:
Amare – looks like a beast and ready to be a leader – he can clearly create and score without steve nash. Best player the Knicks have had in a decade… anyone who says Lee is better or close is confused.
Gallo – looks a lot healthier and more confident, doesn’t look anywhere near as awkward as he did last year, back seems good. Look for him to break out this year.
Chandler – Also looked very solid, keeps getting overlooked.
Felton – looked pretty bad out there, hopefully he can get it together he is essential to this team’s success.
Mozgov – boy does he have potential. Quick, storng finisher, defender and has a nice stroke. This was ot against an NBA team but the Knicks clearly look better with him in than Turiaf. Needs to adjust to NBA game, might be too foul prone to stay in for long stretches.
Turiaf – not a starting caliber player, good bench guy
Randolph – this guy has soooo much talent and if he ever "gets it" can be a superstar… unfortunately looks pretty immature right now, makes a lot of silly mistakes and turnovers. Had some spectacular plays… afraid he might be a more athletic version of Al Harrington, I hope I’m wrong.
Douglas – great back up, solid defender. Shot wasn’t falling but I know it will.
Mason – Waste of a signing, I hope Azibukee gets healthy soon… not a fan of Mason
Walker – seems to be falling out and losing confidence, might not have much impact this season.
Fields – After much criticism he might actually be a solid NBA rotation guy, plays very smart and under control… can contribute to an NBA team.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI’ve always gotten a kick out of those people who acted like Steve Nash made Amare Stoudemire… Acted like Stoudemire would just become irrellivant without Nash.
Felton will be an upgrade over Duhon, but he isn’t that good. He looks out of shape and fat.
Mozgov looks good. He’s definitely too foul prone to play big minutes though. I think he’ll exceed expectations and could be a solid starting center eventually.
Don’t count our Mason yet. He’s a great shooter.

sheltwon3ParticipantI did not see the game but looks like Amare will not have trouble averaging the 25plus points I said he would but it does appear I could be off on Felton’s scoring but not his assist which were at 8. This was not against an NBA team and is still early on but it would appear that the scorers on the Knicks may not include Felton. He may just be an assist man but I think he can still score double digits at least though. Gallo is looking really good and to be honest if they do a Melo trade, I am not sure I want them giving up Gallo. Randolph looks like he can develop into a nice 6th man type if he can work on his game and limit stupid mistakes because the talent is there.

stanford hoopsLet’s be realistic. And this goes for all NBA teams playing euro teams. These euro teams aren’t even close to the worst NBA teams. NBA teams offense and defense will be wayyy better

McWinningParticipantLets be realistic, this team lost 7 key players from last years team, Stoudemire played very well but they have no one on their team even close to being able to match up against nba bigs. This team is not very good at all, knicks played poorly and if they play d like this against nba teams theyll give up at least 150 a game against nba teams.
Turiaf if he starts is the worst starting center in the game (close with Joel Anthony though) they have to start Mogzov. You cant have your starting center pull down 2 rebounds.
