Wow…after a great draft night, it seems that both New Orleans and Sacramento have expendable pieces- Vasquez in NO and Tyreke Evans (or Marcus Thornton) in Sacramento.

All are good, but flawed players- Tyreke with his lack of jump shot and ball dominance, Thornton with his lack of size and trigger-happy nature, and Vasquez with his questionable defense.

Could you see a trade built around Vasquez for one of these two guys? Vasquez is a high character guy who would help kick start the culture change for the Kings. Thornton or Evans would provide NO with some scoring and solidify that backcourt…maybe throw in Jimmer or picks to balance.

funnily Thorton is an agressive version of Maclemore albeit older and more expensive.Thortons on about 10 million ayear I believe so unless Tyreke gets a amazing offer (Hawks/Bucks) you gotta figure hess going to be moved. Wonder who stays though. Like I said shame for a guy like Vasquez who was just making a name for himself

with the addition of McCallum & McLemore.. Sacramento has 6 guards.. Evans can play multiple positions i don’t see the problem playing with 3 guards at a time.. NYK did that the whole season.. you also have to take into consideration that Thornton has an expiring contract next season, Fredette has a team option, & Thomas has a qualifying offer.. so if it doesn’t work out.. they can make certain adjustments.. Sacramento will ultimately re-sign Evans.. if opportunity presents itself maybe trade either Fredette or Thornton..

Thornton is not the athlete that McLemore is.. Thornton makes around 8+ million a year
