GTS 23Participanthaving the top pick and another lottery pick is a blessing for the hornets who want to make a new start. anthony davis is already wearing a hornet jersey, what about the 10th pick? should they draft another big man like (zeller, sullinger) or go with a guard (rivers, terrence ross)? having two young big men that complement each other (davis-sullinger) should intrigue the hornets, but on the other hand their priority, after selecting davis, should be a SG, especially if eric gordon leaves.

DondiJohnParticipantI’d pick players that would co exist beside each other. Two frontcourt players would take a long time to develop. They still have serviceable players in Okafor/Landry/Smith/Kaman(depending if he resigns).
SG position is our strongest position considering Eric Gordon is our best player last season. We should match any offer he will be receiving.
SF position is good but not great. Ariza, Aminu can hold their own defensively, but offensively its a black hole. Barnes also would be a good fit here but I doubt he falls that late.
PG position is good for short term. Jack and Vasquez are serviceabe but in a long term goal, they are only role/bench/spark plug players. Lillard would bring them a dynamic scorer/playmaker they missed since Paul’s absence. Marshall is not the player we are looking for since we lack offensive firepower, his passes will not turn to assists.

For_Never_EverParticipantThey still have Emeka Okafor and Chris Kamam, so I don’t think another big will be helpfull. If Lillard is still on the board he is the only PG I believe should be taken this high. If that isn’t possable Terrence Ross is the best choice. He would be able to switch between the 2 and 3. Davis and Ross combined would make a deadly defensive front and back court combo. Jeremy Lamb wouldn’t be a bad choice also in my opinion.

r377ParticipantCould maybe take Zeller. Having Okafor and Kaman to learn from isn’t a bad thing, rather than just chucking him in the deep end…
Rivers could be worth a risk here also….

JordanC20ParticipantI say go with Kendall Marshall…Davis is going to need someone that can throw him some lob passes.

ghettosermonParticipantDon’t rule out the Hornets trading the #10 pick for a NBA veteran, or I think even better maybe a team like Boston packages #21+22 to move up to #10 and take maybe Doc’s son, or a Henson, Perry Jones, or Moultrie to groom under KG. Getting the 21st and 22nd picks would allow the Hornets to get maybe Marquis Teague who has familiarity with Davis and another big or shooter. Cleveland with the 24th pick and 2 picks at the top of the 2nd could be a candidate to move up as well. Obviously future considerations could be in place as well.

Sewok15ParticipantIf PJ3 is available you can’t pass him up…that would mean on talent and potential you have 2 of the top 3 players in this years draft. Like the guy earlier said they could use a SF although I think his use of the term "black hole" is misguided. A black hole on offense would not be someone who struggles on offense…it is someone who once they get the ball it is going up and not coming back out…hence the term "Black Hole".

SpacegrassParticipantDion Waiters , Monte Williams loves him and they need a SG. Williams called him in a recent interview the second best player in the draft , talking about Waiters.
