So this is an interesting and albeit farfetched but realistic situation the Nets could be in going into next year.

The Nets drafted Bojan last year who has expressed interest in coming to play in the NBA in 2012. Also the Nets are in serious talks with Andre Kirelenko who was Euroleague MVP this year. On top of that there was an article written today about Mirza Teletovic (2 time rising star champion in the Euroleague) expressing interest in playing in the NBA for whom? You guessed it. The Brooklyn Nets.

Moreso, the Magic have stated that they intend to honor Dwight Howard’s request for a trade and the lucky suitor would likely be the team that could offer young prospects and take on Turkoglu’s contract. So if the Nets were to send Lopez, Wallace, Humphries, Morrow, Brooks, and Green (salaries can work out because most of these players would be a sign and trade) for Dwight, Turkoglu and Ryan Anderson. This would leave Orlando with a lot of young pieces to work with. The Nets lineup would look like something like this.

    PG – Deron Williams/Jordan Farmar

    SG – Hedo Turkoglu/Bojan Bogdanovic

    SF – Andrei Kirelenko/Mirza Teletovic

    PF – Ryan Anderson/Andrei Kirelenko

    C – Dwight Howard/Ryan Anderson

I could see that team winning a lot of games in the right system. They would be soft at times but they would run up the scoreboard like no other. They could really do a lot of damage and Deron Williams would be dishing out assists like crazy.

Bojan reminds me of Bostjan Nachbar. He was a cool player.

You can’t play Hedo at the SG , he would get abused.  You would be better off playing Kirilenko at the SG for defensive purposes.  Still don’t like Kirilenko as a SG , too many forwards on that roster.

Hedo would get killed at the 2.  Hes slow for the 3 position.

What if you kept DeShawn Stevenson or Damian James? Or even traded Bojan instead of Brooks or Morrow.

You can definitely make this work

you cannot trade Humphries & Green because they are FA’s.. why include Ryan Anderson in that trade? D12 to Brooklyn Nets is one-sided as it is..

…you added Ryan Anderson and tried to include UFAs in the deal.  Before that it was boring and not worthy of a post, but it hadn’t reached stupid yet.

If Nets win Lottery they can send #1 pick to Orl plus BLopez for Howard as the central part of any potentail NJ/Orl deal.

Teletovic should sign a deal with FC barcelona to replace erazem Lorbek (who should go to the spurs this summer)…

I’ve never thought about Mirza in NBA, but I think he would be very good. He is PF, not SF. He is probably best shooter at PF in Europa, especially for 3 point, also very strong and mobile.

Junk YardDog, I didn’t hear Mirza going to Barcelona. I hear Lorbek going to Spurs.

If Nets bring Kirilenko, Teletovic and Bogdanovic and especially if they get one of the first three picks, they will be good even without Howard
