OhCanada-ParticipantGay is a nice young player (only 23) who can develop into more of a leader and expand his game as the only true scorer and against weaker Eastern Conference competition,Its a no brainer.

meisi4Participantjust wanna say it´s nice to read a thread not about lebron coming to the guys favorite team!
i would say the names you mentioned yourself are the most realistic ones… from those players i think you go with a guard or SF for NJ. they just drafted Favors so getting a PF would make not that much sence especially because i think he could become a poor man´s amare on offense but with a lot of D which none of the FA at his position play.
so i think my choice is rudy gay. you probably have to pay him mad money but most teams will have to in order to get at least somebody and there will be worse overpaid players than gay out there once this thing is over!
much credit for being realistic with your team!

festar35ParticipantI say all they need is Gay.
PG. Harris
SG. Williams
SF. Gay
PF. Favors
C. Lopez6th. Lee

ZeroParticipantIf Bosh or any all star free agent bigman goes to the Nets, Favors will be in a sign and trade.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantMaybe David Lee and Rudy Gay?

jdstormParticipantSo they get involved in some crazy trades. im not sure what they are, but if they were smart they would try and leave enough expiring room to make a run at Carmelo, before they have to pay Lopez. and Yi if he stays

omphalosParticipantGay could be a nice piece but I question his leadership potential. He can score in bunches, but his inconsistency shows he won’t be a go-to guy. He would be an upgrade at the 3, but the Nets desperately need a star, which Gay won’t be. I can see Gay going to Miami to be Pippen to Wade’s Jordan. Bosh wouldn’t be ideal given that they have good depth at PF and Bosh has questionable D. For the Nets, LeBron is the answer and would be a good fit IMO. However, if they can’t get a hold of him then they should sit tight and try and lure away Melo as the Nuggets seem to have stalled somewhat in their quest for a title given the age of Billups and health concerns for Karl.

dahoodrecruiterParticipantheck favorsss is very young is he ready to come in rightnow and play key minutes for nets???
0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 9:12pm #343547
omphalosParticipantHe could certainly play well off the bench behind Yi.

meisi4Participant@ omphalos:
Lebron would help the nets no doubt! no doubt he would be the answer… for every single team in this league!!!
but unfortunatly for the nets their chance of getting him is pretty low!0 - Posted on: Tue, 06/29/2010 - 3:20am #343586
