Lotto StudParticipantEveryone is caught up with NBA Free Agency right now, that we all are short-handing the upcoming NCAA season.
What’s going on with the upcoming prospects on the rise? Any workout links, stories etc.? Feel free to discuss and post so that the dry Free Agency talk will keep us away from the repetitive topics.

MattP31ParticipantI’m excited about the upcoming season but there just isn’t much news coming out. Recruiting is slow right now with 2014 kids all wrapped up and the big time 2015 guys not ready to announce yet. Teams aren’t playing games, unless you look at summer pro-am leagues.
I do want to add that I’m really hating all of these transfers. It’s getting a bit ridiculous at this point with the pure numbers of transfers growing by the year.

Lotto StudParticipantA lot of the transferring has to do with "promises" not being fulfilled on the coach’s end, unless the player does not play well and a high profile recruit is soon to arrive.
1 guy I think may be on the way out is Matt Jones from Duke, and this season may determine the outcome if it plays out like this past season.

Lotto StudParticipantI don’t want to go against the grain but I’m never biased with sports talk, so with this being said I look forward to Larry Brown putting together something nice down at SMU. I’m excited to see Mudiay but more so Frazier. I would like to see the Mustangs make a deep run this year.

MattP31ParticipantGonna be tough for SMU. I like their talent and coaching but the AAC is a joke. Last year they had 5 good teams and 5 bad teams. Louisville is gone, UConn is taking a step back after personnel losses, Cincy loses their star in Kilpatrick, Houston lost a lot, and Memphis lost their backcourt with Jackson, Crawford, G.Johnson, and Dixon gone.
So SMU will need a great year to get a good tournament seed because of their weak conference. I just don’t see that happening because they are a young team that will likely go through some growing pains- especially with Mudiay and Larry Brown who is tough on young point guards.
That said they are still going to be fun to watch and that Mudiay/Frazier backcourt has tons of potential
