if you look at sekou smith’s mvp list, 7 out of 10 players are PG..

curry, westbrook, paul, lowry, lillard, thomas and kemba walker..

the mvp of the league will be curry again, materializing that PG’s dominance.

the other 3 players are SF..lebron, durant and leonard..

no centers in the list and no centers as franchise players in any of the playoff teams..well only horford if you count him as the hawks franchise players instead of millsap..

these are some of the consequences of modern basketball..

hopefully the young blood coming will change this tendency..personally i miss quality centers..

A centers job description has changed. Stay out of the paint in offense…..get into the paint on defense.

Andrew Bogut is the best C in the league right now because hes the best at doing exactly that. It takes high IQ…and the ability to play a role outside of the 3pt line.

Best rim protector, and doesnt need to shoot to space the floor because he’s out at the perimeter setting league-best screens and dropping dimes to shooters.

Bogut is the only one that has the balance right. Draymond Green does the same thing when hes playing the 5.

Only cos I thought you were joking with the Okafor comment?

One guy starts for the best team of all time….The other starts for the worst team of all time…

I’ll take Tim Duncan, Andrew Bogut, Marc Gasol and any other High IQ center thats worked out they need to keep the paint empty….over someone like Jahlil Okafor who might score 20…but makes life harder for the rest of his team.

        To steal a T-Rex quote…Okafors game belongs in a museum…

in terms of physical dominance on offense yeah I’m dead serious. One main reason the big man has died because the big man isn’t trying to be big anymore. The game and position can change drastically but shaq would thrive in any era regardless. Shaq was great defensively either btw and clogged the paint.

T-Rex was ultra right about Myles Turner. He practically wrote him love poems.
