NBA Draft: Damian Lillard or CJ McCollum?
Better College player? better player nba prospect? What are some similarities and differences in there game? What can McCollum do better than Lillard
Cj McCollum is currently leading the nation in scoring and is projected lottery pick. where do you think he goes? top 10? top 5? He reminds of jamal crawford and gilbert arenas in his prime. is he too small to be a starting shooting guard? if he were a little stronger he would be similar in size to randy foye.
Whats his potential and upside?
i actually think he has more "talent" than Damian Lillard but has more questions about what postiion hes better suited for.
Damian all the way, he's already proven to be a good starting point guard in the league. CJ doesn't have the point guard skills or explosiveness that Damian has, he's a combo guard to me.CJ will be good but not Damian lilliard good.
ya your going off what damian has done in the nba so far but thats not what im asking. im asking who was the better college player and draft prospect.
Damian Lillard. He has more handles, more quickness, and probably a better 3pt shooter.
No knock on McCollum but Lillard is a Beast. CJ is good dont get me wrong, I already explained myself on him too many times.
To try to define who's better between a prospect an a pro, but in this case u gotta go with Lillard hands down! 18 and 6 as a rookie is not that easy...
im not asking about how good lillard is doing this season, im asking who was the better college player and draft prospect?
Lillard is the better prospect and McCollum was the better college player.
Lillard's the better pro prospect because of his better natural body strength and first step. Lillard's also a better passer IMO.
I think McCollum's gonna have trouble getting all the way to the rim and finishing at the next level.
Can he play shooting guard in the NBA?
Well he is small and slender for the position. He'll have trouble defending the position. I think he'll be more Jet Terry than a Damian Lillard type. IMO, he's a 3rd guard in the NBA.
he seems to have gotten alot stronger and is probably around 195 right now but with guys like Jason Terry, Lou Williams or Devin Harris, Jordan Crawford, Willie Green arent any bigger than McCollum and there all starting at shooting guard.
I think the suns would be a good fit for him
I dont think MCCollum is a starting SG in the NBA ideally. I dont think he's an ideal starter at all actually
