This draft is one the best in ages because nobody knows what’s happening early in the lottery. The pick I’m worried about the most is the 76ers. After Embiid’s injury I have him dropping to 6 (the position I coincidently had him in for much of the season) so this drafts ‘Big 3’ is in dust. So who does the team picking #3 take?

I currently have the 76ers reaching for Vonleh as my ‘risky pick’. I liked this because he was a guy to pair with Noel and the 76ers could still have a crack at the plethora of wing prospects avalible later with their #10 pick. However, with all the Exum rumours I’m incredibly tempted to change this. This would obviously be monumental as it would change the Magic’s pick (to Smart, imo), which means Vonleh would drop, likely displacing Randle. As you can see who the 76ers take at three will (obviously) have a huge effect on the rest of the top 7 picks, and the draft as a whole.

So, which top 7 picks do you guys think I should go with.

    1. Wiggins
    2. Parker
    3. Vonleh
    4. Exum
    5. Randle
    6. Embiid
    7. Smart

    or

    1. Wiggins
    2. Parker
    3. Exum
    4. Smart
    5. Vonleh
    6. Embiid
    7. Randle

I think Exum at 3 to the 76ers is more likely then Vonleh. To be honest I feel the Sixers are more likely to take Embiid than Vonleh, but Exum over Embiid. Then again, my inclination to believe this is tweets from Liberty Ballers and a few other beat NBA/college basketball beat reporters from around the country. Lol. Tonight is going to be crazy.

The second option is how I have it but I have said since the lottery that Philly should go with Vonleh and a shooter with their second pick (Stauskas, McDermott, LaVine).

The second one with Exum going #3 was exactly how my top 7 looked like before I felt like Orlando probably couldn’t pass on Embiid at #4 if they couldn’t get Wiggins, Parker or Exum.  I wonder if anyone has considered Exum potentially cracking #2 with Milwaukee?  Parker could very well drop to the Sixers at #3 if Milwaukee takes Exum; there were reports Milwaukee was interested in Exum and if they feel Parker is out of shape (according to Cleveland), it’s definitely a possibility.  The draft is always full of surprises. 🙂

     Cheers guys.

Now Phili’s 10th pick is the only thing I’m worried about; for that matter I’ll probably change Orlando’s 12th pick as well.
