StF616ParticipantThese Are My Rookie Rankings
1.John Wall: PPG:18.1 RPG:4 APG:9.8 FG:43.9 FT:75 3FG:36.8 SPG:3.2
MPG:39.3 TO:4.4 GP:8
John Wall Has Had A Very Good Start to his rookie year. Averaging Almost a double double, had a Triple-Double in only his 6th game as a pro. Also has had games with alot of steals(9 Steals against PHI,6 Against Houston 4 Aginst Charlotte etc) maybe all defensive team or even dpoy as a rookie? Expect him and Blake Griffin to battle for the number one spot all season long.
2.Blake Griffin: PPG:16.6 RPG:1.6 APG:2.0 FG:47.1 FT:58.1 MPG:35.4 PF:3.0 GP:10
Is Averaging a double double early through the year. Blake Has Been inconsistent with his play. After an 11 point(5-18FG) 8 rebound game, goes for 18 points(8-15) and 18 rebounds. Thsi is expected For a Rookie. But one consistent thing in Blake Griffins Game, Everytime he plays he always has a highlight reel play.
3.Wesley Johnson: PPG:10.8 RPG:3.9 APG:2.0 FG:40.6 3FG:38.2 FT:72.2 MPG:28.2 GP:10 GS:6
He is already a starter for the timberwolves. He is shooting just 40% from the field but that is normal, as rookie, he still has to adjust to the nba game.He is showing a very good all-around game. Coming off a 15 point 454.7 rebound 3 Assist 3 Blocks Game. Though he started of the season with poor shooting, he has slowly improved. And is getting more playing time, game by game.
4.Eric Bledsoe: PPG:9.4 RPG:3.3 APG:5.2 FG:50 3FG:45.5 FT:73.3 TO:2.9 MPG:29.7 GP:10 GS:6
He is filling in for Baron Davis and doing good. His stats have increased every game. He is shooting at a very high percentage (especially for a rookie point guard) at 50%. Averaging 12.4 Points 7.0 Assists and 4.3 rebounds in 39.4 minutes a game as a starter.
5.DeMarcus Cousins: PPG:10.9 RPG:6 APG1.1 FG:43.3 FT:70 PF:4.5 MPG:21.4 GP:10 GS:6
He went from being a starter at the beginning of the season to a reserve. DeMarcus is still putting up ok numbers for a rookie. But still needs to learn to avoid Foul trouble (4.5 a game) but that is normal for all young centers. He also needs to shoot better from the field as 43.3% From a big man is not goood.
6.Landry Fields:PPG:9.7 RPG:5.7 APG:1.4 FG:54.7 3FG:33.3 FT:66.7 MPG:27.0 GP:9 GS:9
Steal of the draft alert. I was telling people not to underrate this player. He is 5th In the rookies in rebounding(5.4) 3rd in Field Goal Percentage(54.7, at least 8 games played) And 5th In Scoring(9.7) and he is just coming off a 16 point 9 rebound game against the timberwolves.
7.Derrick Favors:PPG:7.8 RPG:6.7 BPG:0.6 FG:50.9 FT:59.3 PF:3.4 GP:9 MPG:20.6
Favors Has Been HIGHLY inconsistent. He has shown flashes of his brilliance(13 points 13 rebounds against miami,11 points 8 rebounds against charlotte, 8 points 10 rebounds in his first game against detroit) but has been very inconsistent(0 points 2 rebounds against orlando,4 points 1 rebound against orlando,2-10 FG against cleveland). Even with this, he is shooting over 50% from the field. And it seems like he is further from his game than people expected.
8.Evan Turner:PPG:8.5 RPG:6.0 APG:2.1 FG:44.4 3FG:0.00 FT:68.4 TO:2.0 MPG:28.7 GP:10 GS:4
I dont think there has been a rookie more inconsitent than Turner This year. The person everyone thought was the most "NBA ready" in this draft has had games like 16points 7 rebounds 4 assists(In his first game) Then 0 points 4 assists 2 rebounds 0-5 FG the next. 15 Points 8 rebounds 6-3FG then 5 points 6 rebounds 2-6 FG after that. Turner has been inconsistent through the start of the season. But i expect him to pick up his game as the season goes on.
9.Ish Smith:PPG:5.3 RPG:2.3 APG:3.3 FG:30.2 3FG:60 FT:75 MPG:21.5 GP:6 GS:3
Has been starting for the imjured brooks, and doing good at it.He led the rockets to their first win with a 7 point 6 assist 4 rebound 3 steal game following that up with a 12 point 5 rebound 3 assist 2 steal game.He will continue to get playing time for brooks as brooks is out4-6 weeks. Shooting an ugly 30% from the field, but this will even out as the season goes on.
10.Xavier Henry:PPG:6.8 RPG:1.5 APG:0.3 FG:40% 3FG:0.00 FT:69.2 MPG:14.4 GP:8
Has been making the most in limited playing time. Surprisingly has not made a 3 point shot this whole season(0-7) And only shooting 6.92% From the stripe. Has had a couplegood games scoring wise,14 points against PHX and 10 against LA.
And there it is, these are the opinions of a 14 year old. haha, thanks for reading =)

andxxxParticipantGreat list and nice explanations, but just saying just because a player has a lot of steals does not mean they’re great of defense it just means they gamble a lot and come up with a few

ChewyParticipantwill change alot this year due to his playing style. He doesn’t have a problem moving the ball and giving up his own shots for others. I think the key to seeing whether he is consistant or not will be in the assist/steals/rebounds catagories.

sheltwon3Participanti remember i was clowned for saying Bledsoe was second best point guard in draft and would be a lottery pick if he did not play with Wall in college. I also said Indiana would be dumb for not taking him at the 10th pick if he was there(this is before Collison trade)

IndianaBasketballParticipantBledsoe is playing well, but you can’t blame people for having doubts. He wasn’t even the primary ball handler at Kentucky. How can you take a point guard in the lottery who you didn’t really see play point guard?

JNixonParticipantI know I doubted Bledsoe. I compared him to Kyle Lowry coming out. I thought he’d be a decent backup, nothing more or less. Whenever he ran point at Kentucky on the rare occasions Wall wasn’t in, he was SUPER TO prone and he showed shaky handles, something that made me doubt he was a true PG.
