My NBA Rankings
New Orleans is too high (and i'm a hornets fan)
Memphis is too low
Hey thanks for the opinion. I will bump this up a couple times. This isin't where I believe they will end up next season just some type of rankings for my season preview.
no i know thats just my opinion i'm not attacking you because i also believe utah is being overated
i would move clippers and grizzlies both up and drop knicks and bucks
i would put the grizz ahead of the raptors, nets, warriors, kings, bobcats, 76ers and knicks
clippers i would put ahead of all those same teams except the 76ers
i think the grizzlies HAVE to be ranked ahead of the nets...i would say move grizzlies to 18

well you have the pacers as the second worst and i think they will be better then the kings. Dunleavy should be healthy and both he and murphy are in contract years so they will play well. Hibbert is getting better everyday. And if granger could stay healthy, he is an all-star. Add in paul george and brandon rush on the wings, ill give thme a slight edge over sacramento who will be trying to develop cousins down low and teams will make a more concentrated effort to slow down tyreke evans.
llperez Indiana should be better but they would improve a lot more if they played their young players which would hurt them the season coming up but would set them up for greatness the following year after they add a top 3 pick to the those young players and Granger and Hibbett

yeah, i have them finishing bottom 5. Im not huge on them. But I was comparing them with the kings, who are also gonna play young guys like cousins, tyreke and omri casspi big minutes. I think the kings are heading in the right direction, but it might ont show in the wins and losses. A team starting beno udrih, omri casppi and either sameul dalembert or a rookie demarcus cousins is gonna go through some growing pains when you see how deep the west is.
man, you tink the kings finish ahead of the grizz sheltwon? other then tyreke evans, the grizz have a better starter at the other 4 positions.
perez that is my one bold pick because you are right Grizz are more talented than Kings but Kings have a stronger front court and Tyreke. Tyreke has some Lebron in him in that he can carry a bunch of unknowns in the regular season. I also think Cousins is ready to play now. Kings could have won close to 40 games if not for that slippage when they tried to play Kevin Martin and Evans together and also when Evans got hurt. This year they should have better chemistry and lots of front court production and also I like Paul Wesphal as coach.
dont agree at all that the kings have a stronger front court then the grizz.
Gay, randolph and gasol are all borderline all-star caliber players. Casspi, landry and cousins/dalembert are not on that level. Maybe Landry is, but he's defenitely not better then randoplh who had the best season of his career last year.
perez all Grizz have is Gasol and Randolph which is plenty much but Sacramento have Cousins, Dalembert, Landry, Thompsom, and Whiteside. Also they have two small forward in Green and Cassipi who have great size for small forwards. Donte Green is like 6'10 with long arms.
Kings make up in depth what Grizz has in Gasol, Randolph
Grizz don't have a single player i feel that can carry a team.
I like Gay but he is not a leader just yet and Randolph as talented as he is ,is not a leader either
Knicks82 I have it Knicks(7) versus Miami(2)
Knicks will get 7th place and Miami as good as the 3 are will not have a better record than Orlando.
why do you include donte green and omri casspi for the kings frontcourt but not include gay for the grizz? And zach was a beast last year and made the all-star team and really looked like a guy who could carry a team. For the kings, thompson is nothing special and we cant say for sure what to expect from cousins or whiteside. I could also include thabeet if we are talking about depth with unproven players.
perez I did mentioned him in that post but you are right I should have put him with the other front court players but the still does not change the fact that Kings are deeper in the front court. Having 5 or 6 solid front court players is pretty close to having 3 really great one. Also Evans does so much that giving this guy a front court to battle with will make him that much more dangerous.
there are only 2 spot difference. I can see if it was more than that but I feel they are close but I just like Kings better as a team
Im just sayin a Knicks vs Heat series would be great for 1. Renew old rivalry and 2. The fact that Lebron spurned the Knicks would make it that much more interesting. Whether it would be a close series or not isnt a concern for me. I know plenty of Knick fans who would be thrilled just to make it in the Playoffs rite now as bad as the team has been the past 10 yrs.
grizz won't be better than sac cuz they can't play as a team. look at their players: at point?????/conley is really their only playmajer and he's proven that he can't really be a good player. Mayo is a scorer and he literally can't pass the ball, as is shown by his summer league performance....ITS FREAKIN SUMMER LEAGUE!! Gay is much like mayo to me but he has a different game. he isn't required to pass too much as a forward so its really not his fault. randolph is notoriously one of the most selfish players in the league, and with gasol, he's an energy, rebounds guy who doesn't do much more (he can score pretty well out of the post). individualy i really like the grizzlies, but i don't see them coming together very well at all. prove me wrong grizz!

duhrant some bold selections. I think OKC is that good but I just don't if they make that jump next year but it is definitely possibly. I would love for it to happen.

Only a true Knick fan can beleive that adding Amare and some marginal peices to a team that had nothing last year is gonna make them a playoff team. Granted I do like Randolph but I think he still needs some time
Amare Stoudemire and Raymond Felton are not bad pieces. Randolph could be a great player in D'Antoni's offense. Add Gallinari in his 3rd season along with Wilson Chandler?
That team could contend for the playoffs. I still don't understand how you call them a bottom 5 team in the NBA when all they did was improve. Not to mention they weren't a bottom 5 team last year. Still need to see the logic there.
i have the knicks finishing 8th in the east. but there should be about 12 teams from the west who finish ahead of them.
They could be a 7 or 8 seed in the East, that's not saying much considering the 7-8 seeds are usually very mediocre teams in the East, barely going .500. But they did improve, it's hard not to notice that at least...
7th and 8th are wide open in the East...Any team could snag one of those spots. If I had to pick two teams I would pick NY and Cha...

Houston at 5? I guess theoretically that could happen, but there are some big "ifs" on the table. If Aaron brooks can do what he did last year on a team vying for a top 2 or 3 seed. If Kevin martin can turn into "the guy" on a contending team, and the biggest "if" of all, IF Yao Ming can stay healthy. They have a lot of talent, indeed. I just think they need to work on staying healthy, and maybe they could be that good. Scola continues to get better, brad Miller was a solid pick up to back up Ming. Martin is a first rate star, but can he do it with the spotlight on him? Aaron Brooks is a very solid PG, but will he be able to continue getting better, or has he hit his ceiling? A lot of questions remain with them...
