LET MAKE THIS CLEAR TO EVERYONE HERE, THIS IS NOT A MOCK DRAFT!!!! IT’S HOW I WOULD DRAFT FOR EACH TEAM, BASED ON WHO THEY SHOULD TAKE, NOT WHAT I THINK EACH TEAM IS GOING TO DO.

So don’t flip out when you see Knight before Irving, I’m not saying that is going to happen, I’m just saying Knight is a better player than Irving imo.

    1-10 Recap

    1.Cle – D.Williams

    2.Min – Trade/ E.Kanter

    3. Uth – B.Knight

    4.Cle – K.Irving

    5.Tor – K.Walker

    6.Wsh – J.Vesely

    7.Sac – J.Fredette

    8.Det – T.Thompson

    9.Cha – J.Hamilton

    10.Mil – A.Burks

    11-15

11.GS – Kawhi Leonard: SF Sand Diego St

Leonard is a great fit for the up-temp Golden State team. Leonard is a tremendous athlete, runs the floor well and is a great finisher and will be a good weapon for the warriors on the fast break. More importantly, Leonard brings defense and rebounding, which Golden State need greatly. Leonard can provide lock-down defense, and will be a strong presence on the boards from the SF position. Leonard is not a half-bad scorer either, he has a solid pull up shot, and should improve his shooting. Leonard is athletic enough to slash to the rim, and is good enough passer to make plays for others. Leonard is a hard working guy with a good attitude, and does not need the ball in hands to score or help out, which is a good thing for Golden State as Curry and Ellis dominate the ball. To me Leonard is a perfect fit for Golden State, he fits their up-tempo offensive style of play, while adding some much needed defense and rebounding from the wing.

    12. Uth – Marcus Morris: SF/PF Kansas

Marcus Morris has recently compared himself to Carmelo, and while I doubt he will ever be Carmelo, his inside-out offensive game does draw some comparisons to Carmelo. Marcus can post up and hit a variety of shots in the post, with a great fade away shot, and can also spot up and hit the long range shots also. Marcus shows good ability to face-up defenders and take them off the dribble too, he is also a great finisher.  Still Marcus is still a tweener and needs to define his position if he wants to be a starter in the league, he should look to improve his ball-handling to fit in at the SF spot, and needs to get a little bit stronger, as he certainly won’t rely on quickness to beat people in the NBA. Marcus is NBA ready right now, and can certainly help the Jazz off their bench, and once he settles into one position he could be a solid starter also.

    13. Phx – Klay Thompson: SG Washington State

Thompson might be the best shooter in this draft outside of Jimmer. He has a very good bball IQ and understands his strengths and plays to them. He’s great without the ball as he is very active moving, getting himself open. Thompson is a great all-around offensive player, he can drive and hit floaters and banks of the glass, makes good choices with the ball and is not turnover prone. Solid athlete, with solid size, smart defender also. Calm, cool, collected on the court and has shown leading WSU he can hit big clutch shots. Thompson may never be a superstar, but I see him being a great side-kick. Phoenix is getting really old, and could use some youth at every position, so they need to go with best-available, and Thompson is that guy. Thompson should flurish next to Nash getting him good looks for the time Nash is still around. Thompson is a solid building block for the suns future.

    14. Hou – Jonas Valanciunas: C Lithuania

Houston is in dire need of a center, now that Yao’s career is flushed down the toilet. Jonas is a very good athlete for a guy his size. He runs the floor well, and is very explosive. He is a great rebounder on both ends, getting tip-ins, and boxes out well too. He is active of both ends of the court, is a good shot blocker. He continues to develop his post game, with a good shooting stroke and touch he is a efficient shooter, and a great free throw shooter. Jonas is also tough and rugged and won’t back down, unlike many Euro players coming into the NBA. Still Jonas is still a mystery, is a risk, and will take time for him to get used to the league before he can contribute for Houston, who is a playoff contender and could be just another player here in the draft from the postseason. But still Jonas is too good to pass up here, and fits the bill, and while he may not be able to help Houston’s postseason hopes early on, down line he could help their championship hopes.

    15. Ind – Dontas Motiejunas: PF Lithuania

Motiejunas is your typical Euro big man prospect, a big with great shooting touch and offensive skill. He can score many ways, in the post, off the dribble finishing, or spotting up to hit the open jumper. Motiejunas has unlimited potential, and can do it all it seems, he has good length to make him a good rebounder and defender, he runs the floor well and is good in open court. He is a skilled playmaker and can make some plays for others, he is pretty good athlete, but obviously Motiejunas ability to hit all type of shots makes him stand out. While he gets compared to Bargnani, don’t forget Bargnani was compared to Dirk, who Motiejunas may end up being like if continue to hit tough fade aways, and continue to play with a fire that Dirk played with this postseason. With Motiejunas the biggest concern is his lack of focus and intesity, he very well could settle into being an ok-good player when he could become a great. He still needs to get stronger and will take time to learn how to play in the NBA before he can make a big impact. Hansbrough and Hibbert are solid big guys, but they don’t cut it. Motiejunas could give the pacers the firepower and talent upfront to be future contenders.

alright my peeps, that was my 11-15, what are your thoughts, I’ll be back with 16-20 soon.

I’m thinking with Dorell Wright’s emergence this past year Golden State may be targeting another defensive minded big man instead. And I honestly don’t see Leonard or Valanciunas falling out of the top 10. Just my opinion, but we’ll see.

I never said they would fall past top 10, but this is how I would draft for each team. Wright did have a good year, but Leonard is too good at #11 to pass on, he fits in well, and besides this year Wright didn’t do much, so you can’t be sure he will produce like last year, you never know.

And I mean this in a good way when I say dont you wish you had a dollar for everytime that (I’m sure) people have questioned you regarding taking Knight over Irving. LOL dont get me wrong but I’m just saying youve probably gotten some heat over it. But on this set, I can definitly agree with #12 & #13. I live in Arizona, and I wouldnt be surprised to see Vince Carter and Grant Hill BOTH join a retirement community out here this summer(ie; they could use a swingman).

    Umm.

It will be hard for Motiejunas to "continue to play with a fire that Dirk played with this postseason," when he has never played ‘with a fire’ at the level Dirk was playing at.

Plus it isn’t safe to play with fires.
