    • Timberwolves Receive: Kings Pick 6th overall (WCS), Ben Mclemore, Cody Zeller
    • Kings Receive: Ty Lawson, Lance Stephenson
    • Nuggets Receive: Marvin Williams, Jason Thompson, Timberwolves Pick 2nd overall
    • Hornets Receive: Wilson Chandler, Kevin Martin.

     

    Timberwolves: If the timberwolves get the number 2 pick and Towns goes 1 they face an intersting delema.  Can they possibly add Okafor to the leagues worst defense in desperate need of an anchor?  How will he fit with wiggins on offense where wiggins has done most of his attacking from the post.  This would allow them to dump K-marts contract for a younger replacement in Mclemore and a promising 4 man in Cody Zeller.  A core of Rubio/Lavine/B-Mac/Wiggins/Shabazz/Bennet/Payne/Zeller/Dieng/WCS.  A team that is very scary for the future.

     

    Nuggets: The Nuggets decide to blow it up and rebuild. With potentially the 2nd and 7th pick in the draft they could add Russel and someone like Stanley Johnson, Oubre, Herzonaj to pair with Nurkic and Faried going forward.  Ty Lawson has had his problems with the organization earlier this year and I think they would move him and Chandler for the 2nd pick in a heartbeat.  They could add Russell or Mudiay with their 2nd pick and either Stanley Johnson or Oubre with their lottery pick.  Russell/Harris/Oubre/Faried/Nurkic plus the future first they have coming gives them a better future than Lawson was giving them.  They may be the winners of the deal.

     

     

    Hornets: They are able to get rid of the Lance Stephenson problem and come out with Kevin Martin and Wilson Chandler who will help space the floor for a team that is in a weird position in the east. Plus they still have their top ten pick to grab another piece. A core of Kemba/Martin/Henderson/MKG/Chandler/Vonleh/Jefferson and their draft pick (Lyles/Looney/Turner/Payne/Perzonigis) should be a playoff squad in the East.

     

    Kings: Kings go all in to surround Boogie Cousins. They get a good pg in lawson to reunite with Karl and a volatile playmaker in Stephenson. But just imagine a locker room filled with the likes of Boogie, Rudy Gay, Lance, Ty Lawson, and Sauce Castillo with Vivek and Shaq checkin in on them. Sounds like a team that Karl could coach. They would need to find a 4 in free agency this year though.

    None of this makes any sense for the Kings.  Jason Thompson is useless but Lance Stephenson actually hurts your team.  And I wouldn’t trade McLemore straight up for Ty Lawson, much less throw in a lottery pick. McLemore is still barely 22.  

    How much better is Lawson than Darren Collison, anyway?
