I must admit i’ve watched every Draft Lotto or had it recorded to watch later..Some stand out more then others..During its entire 25 years only 1 player that was chosen 1st has lead the team that Drafted him to a championship..That was in 1997 when San Antonio selected Tim Duncan..Here are my favorite Draft Lottery

1.1985..Patrick Ewing..85 was the 1st lottery ..It had been a flip of the coin between the 2 teams with the 2 worst records..But rumors started to spread that teams were tanking games to get the top pick..

2.1993..The Shaq Sweepstakes

3.2003 The Lebron James Sweepstakes..Produced several Allstars guys that are now known by only 1 name..Lebron,Wade,Melo & Bosh

4.1987 The David Robinson Lottery

5.1996..Allen Iverson was the 1st pick..But it produced 10 Allstars and 4 future Hall of Famers in Kobe,Nash,Allen Iverson & Ray Allen

6.1986..Brad Daugherty was the 1st pick..And went on to become an AllStar with Cleveland before injuries cut his career short..But this draft was very tragic..Bias died a few days later from a drug induced overdose..Tarpley & Washburn also had drugs problems

7.1997.The Tim Duncan Lottery

8.2008..Derrick Rose was the 1st pick .but it also had several other talented players..Mayo,Brook Lopez,Kevin Love,Russell Westbrook,Eric Gordon ,Beasley & Hibbert

9.1994..The Chris Webber Lottery

10.2007..Greg Oden..Oden has shown promise..but have been bothered by a ton of injuries..number 2 pick Kevin Durant became an Allstar,1st team All NBA and the league scoring champ

1986 was really not that great…. what about the 2004 one? Howard, Harris, Iguodala, Jefferson, K mart with Varejao and Ariza from the second round.
Also Delonte West and LeBron’s mom….. gotta be better than 1986
