Why is Rose the clear cut MVP? I know he is doing a lot of scoring and the Bulls are the best in the east but they win because of their defense not their offense. The bulls are 20th in offense and 2nd in defense. I know he is having a great season but other players are too and he seems to be the clear MVP to everybody and I just wanna know why. How come nobody says he’s a ballhog the guy takes more shots per game than Kobe. Does he really deserve MVP over Kobe, LeBron, or Howard? I would have said Durant but Westbrook is stealing some of his MVP votes by putting up better numbers than Rose in everything except turnovers and ppg.

He is one of the most dangerous players in the nba this year, he can drive and attack, become a 3 point threat too, racking up assist(has a few games where he had at least 30 points and 10 assists). His team is overachieving, everyone expected them to be good but not number 1 in the east.

    Reasons other candiates are behind

Lebron James- has two allstars playing with him and they are sort of underachieving as far beating good teams consistently. has great numbers though.

Dwight Howard- is a beast on the boards, and scores well, still needs to get some more post moves, team is not doing well compared to finals team.

Kevin Durant- has a chance to win, great offensive player but westbrook is also playing well

Kobe- well he only won once in his career, so you know something is wrong with that! so really there is no explanation for him.

When you take a look at the bulls they have a very complete team compared to anybody in the league and they have a great coach as well. For instance match them up with the lakers and the talent is pretty even

    starters

    Noah/Bynum

    Boozer/Gasol

    Deng/Artest

    Bogans/Kobe

    Rose/Fisher

    bench

    Gibson/Odom

    Brewer/S.Brown

    Watson/Blake

    K.Thomas/Character

    Asik/Walton

    Korver/???

This Bulls team is a good team and they have winners on the team with a great coach I dont see why people didnt think they would be good

I thought they would be top 3 team , not number one. They do have a complete team even though they could improve even more by getting a quality sg starter and having bogans and brewer backups. I just thought boston, or even miami would be ahead. I don’t watch the bulls, miami, or boston play unless they play the nets(Im not joking,) but its hard to ingnore rose’s constant improvement

I feel the NBA owes Kobe another MVP! Has there ever been a player this talented with as many rings to only win 1 mvp? Nash has more mvps than Kobe thats insane!!!!!!! His team is better than LeBron’s this year give it to Kobe before he’s too old to get another one

I agree I was shocked when they said he won his first mvp. He’s been killin the league year in and year out, I think that as disrepectful as is gets.

out of the 4 players only one has ATLEAST one ring. KOBE

    2004–05Steve Nash^  Phoenix Suns
    2005–06Steve Nash^ (2)  Phoenix Suns
    2006–07Dirk Nowitzki^  Dallas Mavericks
    2007–08Kobe Bryant^  Los Angeles Lakers
    2008–09LeBron James^  Cleveland Cavaliers
    2009–10LeBron James^ (2)

You forget when your saying how talented this bulls team is not one of you have mentioned how Noah and Boozer have been injured the majority of the year. Rose has only had like both them healthy at once a third of the year and yet they are 2 games ahead of the Celtics for the 1st spot in the East. Rose deserves this award more than anybody. And Frankly I think he deserves MIP also. The strides this kid has made in his defense and three point shooting is just unbelievable. He has single handily carried the Bulls offense through games and without him I dont even think they make the playoffs this year with all the injuries they have had.

And for the record Pau Gasol is not comparible to Boozer, Pau is a much better player, Boozer is one of the worst defensive Pf in the league, he is not even average at defense he is bad. His offense is elite when hes healthy though.

They have missed games but if you watch the Bulls play you would know Kurt Thomas and Asik make up for when Noah doesn’t play and Gibson brings defense and energy something Boozer doesn’t so its not like its some major drop off. Talk about injuries look at the Celtics and Heat they have been missing key players all year and they Bulls still haven’t ran away in the east. I give Rose his credit for stepping up but they are winning because of their defense more than anything and he is an average defender.
