If you had the choice between these two for your NBA team (not taking into consideration team need), who would you want.  Personally I would choose Muhammad.  Both are special talents but Drummond’s motor has been questioned and Muhammad is an extrememly hard worker.  However, Dummond might have more potential.

Id pick Drummond just because of his physical maturity and size…im not saying Shabazz wont be a beast im just saying IMO if the talents equal then go with the bigger player. Its so hard to find a skilled big man now adays…especially if he can play some center…good post tho

Is this site messed up? How does a guy get 4 point in 12 minutes. the guy who made the thread basically said the same thing you said.

Shabazz. Drummond rarely plays hard and that seems to follow big men liek that through there whole career. Shabazz is a special talent (Drummond is too but he doesn’t bring it)

I’ll take Shabazz. I think he’ll be the All-Star wing. Drummond might too, but he plays like he doesn’t care too often and he’s not aggressive, and that usually doesn’t change when you get to the NBA.

Gotta take Drummond. A guy with a legit shot at being a really good big guy is a lot rarer that what Shabazz brings to the table.

Shabbazz might be the safer pick tho.

Every year there seems to be a drummond

    Deandre Jordan
    B.J Mullins
    Perry Jones
    Kosta Kufus
    Derrick Favors

How many Sg has there been with legit size, athletic ability,Motor lately?

The closest was O.J Mayo but he’s always been more of a shooter

Derozen wasn’t much of a shooter and didnt dominate as much as Shabazz

Evans wasn’t much of a shooter or athletic

    Bazz brings
    Motor
Jumper (even his deep range is now strong)
    Defense
    athletic ability
Hunger (2 camps said he’s the first one in the gym a hr early and staying a hr or more after woring on his game)

And that “IT” factor. You dont hear people say ” he’s talented but doesn’t bring it all the time or only dominates sometimes”

Drummond seems like more high risk, high reward because of his motor issues, and a coach can’t teach a player to play hard. Even though big men are hard to find, I’d take a chance on Muhammad over Drummond. He’s more surefire. With Drummond, you’re picking him based on something you’d hope he’d turn out to be. Not saying all prospects aren’t like that, but even more so with Drummond considering how high ranked he is.

@Bmore_DC, maybe I should have specified, I when I say there is somthing wrong with the site, I mean technically, and what I mean by that it, if one person gives you a positive, for some reason it counts as two positves. I’ve seen it where I give someone a positive and the number increases by two, it may be that it counts  points that have been given since the page was last refreshed? Who knows. I didn’t mean anything personally directed toward you. But I did read what you said, and it was valid, and accurate and true.

Can’t go wrong with either. Just my preference would be Drummond simply because you don’t find that crazy skill set as a pf very often if at all. Both seem like potential superstars though.

Drummond scared from Shabazz, that why he will exploit a gap to enter the next draft and skip college cause he know he has no chance for the first overall pick with Shabazz next to him!

Very much disagree. History has shown us that GM’s will 9 times out of 10 take big over small no matter how much better a single season has shown the wiser choice of being the small. Just ask Durant and Oden, CP3,D-Will and Bogut, or even Bowie and Jordan.

Drummond has better potential with his size but the risks on taking shabazz is lesser because of his character, so i take shabazz.  Hardworkers always end up with better careers.

I’ll take Drummond every day of the week. Sine 1984, think of all the wings we have had that have scored at least 25 per game in at least a couple seasons, Kobe, MJ, Lebron, Wade, even Iverson if you count him, Mcgrady, Carter, now Durant, Dominique Wilkins, Clyde the glide, and I am probably missing a ton. That was 10 players, now Hakeem, Ewing, Shaq, Dwight, Ralph Sampson before he got hurt, and Arvydas Sabonis for what he did before he got to the NBA.Wow, that is a short list. My point is, bigs don’t grow on trees. Indiana basketball said it perfectly about a week ago. He said that if god promised him Oden would stay healthy, he would take Oden. Think about Portland last year, they puched Phionex to 6, with a 54 year old Roy, Aldridge who had not transformed into an all star yet, and an even younger Batum. If you put Oden at getting even 15 and 8, along with Camby off the bench for rebounding and shot blocking, Ray Felton directing the point, Aldridge playing like an all star, Wes Mathews giving them solid production, and Hopefully B Roy can return to form.

Back to the topic, Shabaz might have more potential, but a 17 and 8 big is worth more than a 22 point scoing wing.

Other bigs you didnt name are the ones Pac-12 named. You now the difference between Drummond and those bigs?
Ewing had a very high motor in H.s Same with Shaq,Dwight,Ralph. Drummond is more comparable to other bigs who were talented and had low motors and looked average more times than dominate, thats a list of Pro’s you should be putting up.

And since we are talking potential based on what they are doing now you should probably raise Shabazz scoring up to 26plus.

As far as the 17 and * you’re talking about a paul millsap josh smith numbers( and Drummond doesn’t have the motor of either) with Shabazz you’re talking about a monte Ellis,Old Vince carter,Wade scoring potential on top of good defender, high motor and tireless work ethic.

Yeah you can have Drummond and ill take Shabazz every day of the week and twice on Sunday
