MrManalo43Participantnever seen him play, but he seems to be good, seeing as he’s #11 on the ESPN top 100 for 14’… anyway, i just wanna ask, how is he on defense, and if he stays the same weight-ish (190-200ish), would he be better suited as a 2 or as a 3?
ESPN scouting report on his recruiting page says he’s good a 3’s with a smooth stroke and solid bounce, but again, how is he on D?

juves4783Participanti’ve seen him at the mcdonald’s game, nike summit and jordan game. his jumpshot looks good but i think he settles on 3s a little too much. he’s probably a 3 in college but a 2 in the nba. his game is a lot like james young. lefty, smooth, athletic wing with nice jumpshot and highlight dunks.
kansas is going to be nice with alexander, ellis, oubre, seldon and tharpe. plus, they have size off and experience off the bench with arkansas transfer hunter milkerson, traylor, greene, frankamp and mason. wouldn’t be surprised if they end the season national champions.

JordanC20ParticipantHe’s a chucker to me at this point…I’m not a big fan of his game.

PhogifyParticipantSeems like a pretty good defender, he has extremely impressive length, though I don’t know off the top of my head, I do remember him having a longer wingspan than most of the big men in the McDonald’s game. He’s also a great rebounder. If I had to guess he can play the 3.

Chilbert arenasParticipantI’m with JordanC20. I watched two Findlay games and MDAA, Nike Summit, Jordan and he is a gunner and when he doesn’t get the ball on the break he hangs his head or gets on his teammate for not getting him the ball. The guy has huge upside but needs to work on the attitude.

Kelly Oubre NBA Comparison: Shabazz Muhammad just off the strength of this.

Magic JordanParticipantI also agree with you, in all of those games I saw him chasing the PG around the court just demanding the ball. Ruining any type of floor spacing in the process. Something a college coach should be able to iron out but right now he appears extremely selfish.

Kokayne_DawkinzParticipantHe needs to work on his ball handling ALOT if he ever wants to play the 2 gaurd spot in the NBA. His defense is ok at best. For someone with the type of physical tools he has (7’2 wingspan) he should be much better on that side of the ball.

joecheck88ParticipantI admit I haven’t seen him in non all star games but he reminds me of LeBryan Nash a bit. Think his stroke may be smoother but everything else seems similar to me. So he like Nash has potential but their NBA potential is based off how their perimeter games develop. Oubre has a chance to be a great defender. Long arms and athletic
