Lebron’s HairlineParticipantWho is your pick as the most underrated college basketball player/players as a prospect? Mines is deshaun Thomas, guy can flat out score, hes a physical mismatch as he’s too strong for threes and too fast for fours. He can shoot and hit from all over the place and can also post up, yet he’s only a second round prospect; he could be Ryan Gomes 2.0(who was a nice score for Boston and Minnesota). Another of mines is Ian miller; I understand his point guard skills need refinement but dude is an absolute burner in the open court. His athleticism and scoring mentality plus his size reminds me of Russell Westbrook/devin Harris. My last one is Jamaal Franklin. Everyone is caught up in talking about Archie Goodwin and Rodney purvis, even mr. Ineligible Ricardo Ledo. Come on where’s the love for him?

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantHe’s hardly underrated, everyone on this site knows him and Aran had an article with him in it. He’s also slotted as a lottery pick in 2014 on this site

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantI got another one: Nate Walters; dudes so underrated I forgot to put him on my underrated list lol. He has nice size, skill, and scoring instincts. Reminds me of a taller Luke Ridnour

phila9012Participantthis isnt related to you because that is a valid comparison, but 95% or more of the comparisons compare black players to black players, white american players to white american players and foreign players to foreign players. It just is weird how comparisons are split like that, in a society where race means very little.

SubZeroParticipantMost of the time because there is generally a difference athletically between black players and white players. Or maybe most black players grow up playing with fellow black players, and same for whites, so they adopt similar playing styles. While there are some exceptions to both of those (I grew up playing with a lot of black guys but was never as athletic as them or played like them), they’re true in most cases

Lebron’s HairlineParticipantI can’t get in this arguement as I am 8 nationalites; black and white included. I just thought Nate plays like Luke but I understand what your saying

DolanCareParticipantLets not go down this path guys. Especially because discussing underrated prospects is one of my favorite things to do.
I agree that Jamal Franklin is not fully appreciated. However, I think he will get drafted higher than currently projected due to his atheltic ability that will stand out in the combine.
I’m also a huge Ian Miller fan, but have been disappointed from what I’ve seen so far this season. His offensive game looks exactly the same as it did last year. I hope he develops more because his athletic profile could translate nicley to the NBA.

SiggyParticipantReggie Bullock-Just breakdown his skill level. For a role player, his game is pretty complete. Size, defense, handle, passing, shooting, etc. He’s easily UNC’s 2nd best player. Could be a Danny Green type at the next level.
CJ Fair-Prototype size and athleticism for a SF with a pretty jumper, defensive potential and expanding range.
Sean Kilpatrick-Tough as nails, physically strong SG who’ll get after you defensively, nail backbreaking 3’s in bunches and carry his defenders to the hoop on drives. This kid is a competitor
Will Clyburn- 6’7 swingman with length. One of the most underrated, well-rounded players in the college game. He can score, shoot, board and can make plays off the bounce. Check his line: 16ppg 9reb 4ast 40% from 3, 65% from the floor.
Kevin Dillard- Quite simply one of the better unrecognized floor generals in college. He might appear small but has a 6’6 wingspan for a PG. Good defender who runs a team like a pro. Nasty handle with advanced PnR ability. Reminds me a lot of Darren Collison.

OfficialI was gonna say will clyburn as well. But i want to see him play before I make assumptions.
Based on his stats and the little highlights of him i think he is an early second round prospect for sure…
