slash787ParticipantI just read a report that Moe Harkless and I quote
“looked “noticeably bigger and the arms and chest” and now weighs 222 pounds, according to team beat writer John Denton.
He was fairly thin last year at 6’8″, 210 pounds, but his lack of size didn’t hinder him from getting to the hoop. Harkless took a whopping 60.3 percent of his field goal attempts at the rim, making 65.2 percent of those short-range shots. Harkless came on very strong at the end of the year and is one of the reasons why the Magic have been reportedly trying to trade Arron Afflalo.”I think Moe Harkless is going to emerge as the teams best defensive player this season and will continue the progress he showed last season.
I like what the Magic are doing with Oladipo, Vucevic, Harkless, and Tobias as their core 4 players. If they get a few more pieces they will be a solid team for a 5 year stretch.

Sewok15ParticipantThey still need some perimeter shooting…Nick Young is probably the best shooter available in free agency at this point but I don’t know if he fits in with what the Magic are trying to put together?

ItsRainingNegsParticipantDon’t forget about Doron Lamb. He was an elite shooter in college and he will really find a niche as an off the bench sniper like I think John Jenkins will become.

WITNESS2014ParticipantI really like Harkless. I was wanting the cavs to try and get him somehow. If he can improve his jumper than he would be scary as hell but still a good defender and slasher. Will only keep getting better, but I think that’s a decent core moving forward. I think they need better pgs and and another scorer. If they can get Smart next year then they will be on the right track for sure.

SubZeroParticipantAny chance that someday they can be like the Pistons from 10 years ago; no clear cut star but several very solid players that compliment each other perfectly and contend for a championship for a few years?

slash787ParticipantI think the Magic made a bad situation with Dwight into as positive as you can get. They cleared up a ton of cap space, got Harkless and Vucevic in return, and set themselves up for a season to get a high draft pick which turned into Oladipo. I think they turned a bad situation in to a positive one in a very short period of time.

bigblackNbeautifulParticipantI also could see the jazz be that type of team in a few years, with no surfire superstar but just all the right pieces.

JoeWolf1They just need that legit #1 scoring option and that team could be a really good squad in a few years. I really think Tobias Harris has the potential to be a legit #2 option and close to 20 ppg scorer at the PF position and Vucevic is a guy I really like and someone with a budding offensive game himself. Oladipo has the makings of a very good player as well and Harkless is that classic guy that can give opposing wings fits on defense.
Nicholson and Quinn were great picks last year and guys that are skilled role players. Orlando isn’t going to be winning many games next year, but I really like what they’ve been doing. Getting this core more experience and then landing a Marcus Smart or Andrew Wiggins could put them in a posiiton to be a team that could be back in the playoffs in 2 years or so…not a bad turn around.

vulture711ParticipantI am proposing a sign and trade – we will send Orlando Andrew Bynum and get back Nick Vucevic and Mo Harkless ??
Anyone in Orlando buying that sweet deal ?

JNixonParticipantMo Harkless has alot of natural talent. With more polish in his perimeter skill set he could be a very good piece. He already has a knack for finishing baskets at the rim, so with a better jumper he would be a scary matchup.
