The8thDeadlySinParticipantThere are alot of players in line for breakout years. Who has the biggest year for a player who didn’t Have a big year last year?
My guy is Dinalo Gallinari.
He is going to the the only guy, besides Lawson, who is going to be able to create his own shot. He has shown that he can hit open 3s, post up high and low, and even go off the dribble. He is going to pull his best Carmelo Anthony impression. He will be the focal point of the Denver offense and playing with Ty Lawson will only make his job easier.
There are lots of candidates out there for the MIP award but I think Gallo takes it.
Who do you think?

I May Be WrongParticipantGallo is my choice too but I’ll throw out some other candidates
Ed Davis – With DeRozan being a focal point and Toronto reportedly looking for what value Bargs may have, Ed Davis may get a lot more touches. Last year, he was good for 7 and 7 but with some extended playing time, he could be a nice double double machine
Derrick Favors – so you hear that joke about Derrick… ohh nevermind. Anyways, IF the Jazz move Jefferson AND Millsap, look for Derrick Favors to get a lot more minutes. Reports are that he is already a key component of the team and the Jazz are exicted to see what Kanter and Favors can do together.
Tyler Hansborough – now this may be a little bit of a stretch but you know what, I was very impressed in the way he handled himself in the playoffs against Chi-town. I don’t think he will be a 20 ppg scorer or anything but last year, he average 11 and 5 in just under 22 minutes a game. He is an ultimate hustle guy and with McRoberts possibly being out, he could see extended minutes. 15 ppg and 9 rebounds could be a possibility IF he remains healthy enough.

boffacheeriosParticipantI think Marcus Thornton has to be on any speculative most improved list. Just playing a full season of big minutes should make his case. Gallo is another obvious one with the way things are looking for the nugs. A possible sleeper candidate may be Toney Douglas who will see a lot of time at point guard for the knicks this year with the departure of Chauncey.

Jean_31ParticipantMatt Bonner will prove that he is the best red hair player in the NBA and win the MIP

PlatypusParticipantDark horse, Eddy Curry but it depends on how in shape he is because he should get playing time since all he needs to do is use his big frame to play defense.

Michael.S.ParticipantI like the Gallinari pick, and I would add DeRozan into the discussion as well.

lalailaParticipantDeRozan Paul George or DeMarcus Cousins i think

aamir543ParticipantGallinari mainly because they will be without Kenyon Martin, JR Smith, and Wilson Chandler, as they are all in China, and most likely be without Nene, who may leave as Free Agent. I think Gallo will score about 22 a game, leading someone to pay him BIG money next Off-Season, which is one of the reasons we had this damn lockout.
