ghettosermonParticipantI hope this means the Hawks don’t re-sign Jason Collins anymore. Even though Powell is far from a good player he’s pretty active defensively and a big body. For the minimum I like it. I don’t know why the Heat wouldn’t want Josh Powell for the minimum considering some of the signings they’ve made.

JoeWolf1Yeah, the Hawks needed more quality front court bench players, for winning so many games they had Jason Collins and Randolph Morris on their roster. Powell and even a 39 year old Shaq would be a major upgrade.

TRC1991ParticipantI wouldn’t write Josh Powell off too quickly…he had very minimal chances to prove himself in L.A. but I do remember one time bynum and odom were hurt back in 08-09 and he stepped up to the tune of 17 pts, 9 rebs, on 8-14 shooting in 35 minutes

JoeWolf1I think Powell is a good signing, its hard to judge any end of the bench player for the Lakers, not named Adam Morrison, too harsly because they are such a good team. Powell has very good strength and a decent touch. I wasn’t trying to dimish his ability by calling him an upgrade from Morris and Randolph, I think its a solid signing, plus he’s young and still has a little upside.

llperezPowell can really shoot it for a big man. He hit a handful of corner threes last year, and they werent lucky threes either. His range is better at aobut 20 feet, but he can defenitely space the floor. Not much going for him on the inside offensively though. Solid pickup and should compete for minutes.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI think Miami rebuilding the roster around LeBron, Wade and Bosh have done a AMAZING Job.
