Rubio Wiggins and Aldrich for Jordan and beverly

I’m not a huge fan of Wiggins as a defender and I think the wolves need to go in a defensive direction as a team. Towns has a strong enough outside game to not clog up the paint with Jordan inside. Beverly also would be an upgrade from Rubio with a better outside shot. The next step would be to sign a quality starter who knows their role.

The clippers also win this trade by having a young superstar for the future as they go in tank mode. Or if griffin resigns then they could be a borderline playofff team… with Lou Williams Crawford Wiggins and griffin. This would be an exciting offensive team with little defense.

There’s no way Minnesota would do this deal, and give up on Wiggins for Deandre. If anything Towns needs to play Center, and Thibs needs to find a legit stretch 4 next to him. Not pair a limited offensive Center like Jordan to keep playing KAT out of position.

    Pass.

This has to be one of the worst trades I’ve ever seen on here. I hope you don’t think Thib is really that stupid to even come close to this.

    Seriously????

valid point about keeping towns at the 5. Although Wiggins is a talented scorer, I don’t view him as a winner. I view him as a younger Rudy gay who puts up good stats by without improving the team. I know prolly to harsh for a young kid but that’s how I see it. Whether anyone agrees with my view of him or not I’m curious to hear what a good Wiggins trade would be for the t-wolves?

But you can’t give up on him yet if you’re the Wolves. He was miscast as a #1 option, and now that they have Jimmy who can relieve some offensive and defensive pressure…. don’t be surprised to see Andrew’s game blossom towards winning basketball next year. He’s got every tool necessary to succeed on both sides of the floor

He was touted with Lebron potential…but I was never a huge fan of his even in college.  He had basically two go to moves, and for as athletic as he is…he doesn’t have "basketball athleticism"…which is for me I guess, being able to burst and jump in tune with your mind at all the right times.

There is something off with him mentally, he doesn’t have a nastiness to his game, he is very passive.  He is basically a very athletic midrange jumpshooter.  I haven’t seen him take over a game with his mind in key moments.  He is very hot and cold.

I see him as a fringe all-star.  I hate trading him for an aging DeAndre Jordan…but I see where the poster is going.

A Thibodeau (who I actaully really dislike as a coach because he doesn’t know when to turn it on and off and wears out his players) coached team of Beverly, Butler, Towns (who can play at the 4 he did in college) and Jordan would be very very good defensively, but would be pretty awful offensively.  And they already have Dieng who isn’t bad.

Thibs needs to get rid of all the weak defenders.  I’d like to see him coach a nasty defensive squad.

Wiggins is a weak defender…I never see him becoming a dominant player in the league.  I may be wrong because people on this forum are saying its too early for a lot of the young players like Bender and Wiggins or Aaron Gordon…I just don’t see the IT factor mentally.

I would just like to hear what the market would be for him right now. I just believe that this is As high as his stock will ever be. Obviously higher then I was expectIng based on all the negs lol

So one team comes to mind who has a ton of assets is the nuggets.. what would be a fair trade for both teams. Also are there any other teams that would make sense in a Wiggins trade.

If you just have to make a trade, then i suppose Wiggins and Rubio to Toronto for Lowry & JV? Only if Lowry is leaving and the Raps don’t lose him for nothing.. Need to balance the cash but..

Wiggins in the last two seasons has had virtually identical scoring stats to Jimmy Butler. I know he isn’t close to being the all round player that Butler is yet but he is only 22 and has the ability to be an elite scorer at worse.

He averaged 23.6ppg last season ( think we can say that now) and that was on a team with KAT who averaged over 25ppg and LaVine before he got injured who was averaging 18ppg plus.

At age 22 Jimmy Butler was playing 8.5 minutes scoring 2.5 points and shooting 18% from three. Can’t give up on a talent like Wiggins in a market like Minnesota.
