The Atlanta Hawks are looking to move him because they want to push the tempo & they feel Bibby can no longer do that, well without getting beat defensively.
He’s got two years left with each year being at 5.5 Million & 6.2 Million.
They’re hoping Teague can be their future point guard.
First, is Teague a starting point guard in this league? Can he lead a Playoff Team?
Most likely Bibby isn’t traded, but just asking..
& What teams could use a veteran point guard like Bibby?
Which would use him as a Starter ? & Which would take him for a backup?

can be a starting point guard. id like 2 see bibby moved but i dont see him goin anywhere and starting. if anything he will be a backup for a team in need of shooting. he could go to boston and play that eddie house role. or even L.A. if derek fisher doesnt sign( the lakers love pgs that cant defend but can shoot). hell i can even see him in orlando since jason williams isnt coming back.

Teague needs to be eased into the starting role. He will be a starter in the future, but right now he’s a little too raw and not quite the floor general he needs to be to run a playoff team like ATL smoothly. I think they should keep Bibby as the starter for the 1st 10 games or so, and then ease Teague into the starter role after that.

Bibby has to have a small market. He’s on contract for the next 2 seasons for about 5 and 6 million each of those 2 years. Maybe a team in need of a smart veteran PG who can make clutch shots and spot-up for 3 would take him. Maybe a team like the Spurs or some team like that.

Teague played limited minutes last year, he got a little experience in the playoffs this year but he played well when he got the chance and had some big games including a 24 point 15 assist 5 rebound game against Cleveland. I think he can lead a playoff team, Atlanta is good enough, he won’t have to do too much, and after another full season under his belt next year I don’t think he’ll have problems in the playoffs and could put up around 13 and 7 next season as a starter.

I believe Bibby has some gas left in the tank. I felt like he took a back seat to Crawford coming in last year and gave up his individual statistics for team success. I mean the year before he averaged 14 pts and 5 asts. Granted he is not a defensive stopper or quick footed like Teague but i do believe he can make a impact on some teams with his shooting, leadership and veteran savvy. I can see a team like Charlotte making a move for him. Felton is gone, LB isn’t sure if DJ is ready. Mike played for LB on team USA back in 03, he gives them a veteran presence, played with Wallace n S Jax and is a member of Jordan Brand plus Bobcats have 4 centers, they could give say Diop or Nazr back. I mean I think that would be a great fit for him. I also think a team like Orlando who needs a back up for Jameer, or the Pacers who need a starting PG, the Blazers, who need a PG who can shoot the basketball or even the Lakers if Fish aint coming back could use Bibbys services. Miami, New Jersey, Chicago and Boston could be possibilities as well. He could very welll be back with ATL and battle Teague for a starting spot in training camp. His time in ATL might be done but I think he has a lot to offer some teams around the league.
