Once this team is healthy which will be in roughly 2 weeks.  I think they are going to blow away everyone they face by easily a margin of 15.  This is going to be the year they win it all.

Dawson has been a huge loss Appling’s injury has really hurt his follow through and once healed he will be back to shooting 40% again.

Appling, Harris, Valentine, Dawson and Payne is hands down the best line up in NCAA.

The only team that can contend with them is Syracuse and I don’t think they have any answer for Payne and Harris.   This years MSU team has been a beauty to watch.  The way everyone is gaining experience with all these injuries is only going to make them that much more fierce in March.

Mark it down MSU 2014 champions.

I go to MSU and I’m just praying that Appling and Dawson come back 100% healthy. IF, and that’s a big if, they can manage to do that then I believe we will be the favorites come March.  All of our third-stringers have been playing and have been getting that valuable experience as well.  That will benefit us both this year and next.  I like your optimism and I hope you’re right.

Hey I went there as well. Go Green! We really do have the best team in the country, and our resilience is really showing through all the injuries we’ve endured. At any given time during the season we’ve had at least 1 (mostly 2) starters out from injuries. Tom Izzo knows that the season is an opportunity for our team to grow and be ready in late february early march. Izzo is such a genious the way he challenges and prepares his guys. When we’re all healthy and focused, I think we’ll be steamrolling people… and I can’t wait for our rematch with scUM.

Adrien Payne had a hell of a game yesterday, He’s a man among boys and was outworking everyone. They literally got no production from anyone else but Payne and missing two starters and almost pulled out the win.

great case for MSU. i think by the end of the year Kansas will be right there with MSU. Embid, wiggins, selden, tharp, ellis, black, traylor, mason. if they keep developing they could be scary good but you never know. MSU has more experience and played together longer. give me KU, MSU, Syracuse, Florida for my final 4

A healthy Michigan St. team is certainly a title contender and one of the top 5 teams in the country but I wouldn’t say they are that much above the competition that they would be clear favorites. Syracuse is unanimous #1 right now since they have yet to lose. Arizona isn’t a team to sleep on even with the Ashley injury. Florida is playing great and adding Chris Walker surely doesn’t hurt. Kansas is young but playing better and might have the most talent in the country. I don’t think you can count out San Diego St. or Witchita St. either even though they aren’t exactly loaded with NBA talent.

MSU does have the experience advantage and the Izzo factor so they could beat any of these teams and win it all but I wouldn’t say they are that much more talented or the team to beat in my opinion.

The same team that struggled with Oakland and Columbia at home and got beat by UNC, all fully healthy, is so above the rest of the competition?

Dawson is a glorified roleplayer and Appling tends to make a ton of bonehead decisions every few games and he still isn’t a real PG. I think they go deep in the tournament but I see nothing that says they should be the favorite.

MSU has been seriously crippled by injuries and are tied for first in arguably the best conference in basketball. Appling has been improving dramatically in his decision making this year, especially compared to previous years. I’ve seen every game so far and I can’t really think of too many bone headed decisions I’ve seen.

Dawson is a small forward who is our best rebounder and a mismatch on the offensive glass. He has literally won us games with his defense and hustle.

Not to mention we have a very deep team now that our young guys are stepping up from all the injuries. Moreover, every single 4-year player to play under Izzo has made a final four. Even history favors the Spartans.

Oh and by the way, Appling is ranked #2 in both APG and Assist to Turnover ratio. Don’t know what boneheaded decisions you saw.
