Michael Redd has been a walking injury the past few years and it leaves a good question, does he have anything left in the tank?  I am going to go out on a limb and say yes he does have a little something left to maybe help out a title contender as a lefty shooter off the bench or even in the Bulls case (if they dont go after J-rich or cant sign him) maybe as a starter who can shoot the three and log MAYBE 25ish minutes a night.

Prolly looking at the veterans minumum.  Whats your take? I say hed be a decent fit for the Bulls.

Could be a good 3 point shooter off the bench, defensively he wont help you, and I can’t see him being a starter for any team, may not be able to carry that much minutes. Bulls can sign a better SG than Redd, they need someone who can play defense as well as knockdown open shots and be a starter.

If Redd can stay healthy, he could really give a team a boost as a bench scorer. I hope a team like the Celtics or Heat give him a good look. Many players have gone from injury-prone to productive, sometimes it just boils down to luck. If I were a contenders GM I would definitley sign Redd for the minimum. He is also a good locker room presence, and leader on and off the court.

Wow did i just see 4th demension make a good post, Congrats man I gave you a point too, nice points now if you post like this for now on, you can show us the smart iq you were talking about when you were glad the points system was gone.

    Clapping Pictures, Images and Photos

Anyway Michael Redd will be a good contributor to a contender(maybe the bulls will sign him), I see him being productive hopefully he can stay healthy(big if), but I wish him the best of luck

Alright I’m not here to argue(i have better things to do), but i’ll list a few things out.

1.I wasn’t giving you a sarcasting comment, and wasn’t giving you a congrats to be your friend(could care less what someone on the internet thinks about me), just giving you praise for a good post, and people responded well to it

    2. I have given you probably a total of 2 negs(one callings us idiots on point system down, and second i dont remember maybe the iverson comment), I actually gave you more postives.

That would probably work Chilbert, they have nobody better suited to play sg right now than JD.  And true that, Aaron Nelson would fix Michael Redd up in a heartbeat, in my opinion hes the best athletic trainer in the game.  Hes the one who is keeping Nash healthy enough to play 75 games and Grant Hill healthy enough to play around 80 every year.  He worked miracles for Shaq and did a good job managing Amare’s fragile knees.

Bulls need to sign Josh Howard for that money, he has shown that he is good enough to play next to superstar(s) in Dallas.

Maybe on a one year deal they could see if Redd has gotten his game back.

If the Bulls do trade for CDR then I think the Bucks want Ronnie Brewer in return.

Mike Redd with the veteren minimun is not bad at all, injury or not he can provide veteren leadership an can also be instant offence off the bench in the Ben Gordon mode 25-30mins+ a game he worth getting a shot at the starting SG position because anything is a upgrade over Keith Bogans…..I also been hearing coach Thibs might be giving Deng a shot at the SG position also so they might bring in another 3 man an dish a couple mins to the rookie Jimmy Butler.

I think he owes it to Milwaukee to return on the minimum. They blew a ton of money on him. Maybe they don’t want him in which case he should join the Lakers and help any way he can. Joining the Bulls is too risky. Having a peg leg Redd and Korver is too much of the same thing.

I think there are better options out there for Chicago.  I don’t feel Redd could hang with Chicago’s defensive expectations.  Korver tries hard, but gets attacked a lot when he’s on the floor.  I feel Redd wouldn’t even be the caliber of defender Korver is at this point.  I agree with dodger on this one, I think they should try to get a free agent for the MLE (if it still exists) and if it doesn’t try to get a trade done for a SG.

So much can happen in 3 years. Just remember that Redd was on the 2008 OLYMPIC TEAM which won gold medal. If he’s healthy which is a big IF, he is a steal at veterans minimum in my opinion

Money shouldn’t be an option for  him he is paid in full like rakim, so this list of teams is based on best fit….

    In no particular order….

    Miami

    Chicago

    New York

    OKC

    L.A. Clippers

Now for his sake I hope he is as close to 100% he can be,I’ve been rooting for him since the first time he blew his knee out. He derserves atleast one healthy season.

I think the Heat could use him off the bench, but the Heat have already sort of pointed out that they dont like the fact that Bibby and Illugauskus aren’t explosive, so who knows. Personally, I think Chicago is a good fit. Although Kieth Bogans is a better defender, I feel Redd is the kind of guy that can still get you10-13 points a night, and make 1.5-2 threes a night. I see him getting 20 minutes for the Bulls, getting 8 points, and making about a three or two per game.

On a side note, 4th Dimension, are you mentally retarded? Even when you make a sensible normal person post, you have to copound it by doing somthing stupid. You don’t like getting negs, right? So keep these things in mind

    1. Dont insult the general public

"like ive been saying, im an knowledgeable basketball observer, but you idiots just give me negatives for no reason. Your sarcasm doesn’t win my friendship buddy."

When you call people idiots, they tend to neg you.

    2. If you make a bad post, and get negs, or negatively portrayed comments, dont complain about it. Fess up to your lack of insight to the topic, and people will tend to like you. Go back and look and at some of my posts, I stated somthing controbersial, that even I now agree is factually incorrect. I said Vince Carter was washed up. The same guy that you were chatting with earlier, ASDF22, he didn’t agree with me and made a particularly harsh statement. Well instead of calling him an idiot, I told him that he was right, Carter does have some left in the tank. And it was all good, and I didn’t get 50 like you usually do when you complain about negs. So the lesson is, just move on, and dont complain

    3. No one hates on you just because you are you. I can go back and find a post where you complained about having 100 negs and only 20 posts. You say that we give you negs for no reason, but thats not true. Do you think we just chose a random person and give them negs? No. You have to build a rep for yourself, and no one is going to give you respect, you have to earn respect.

I hope you dont take my suggestions the wrong way, I am just trying to help.

But honestly, by now, some people just give you negs when they see your name. Now they give you negs for no reason. What I suggest is that you create another account and start fresh, and just take it easy, we are just tryiing to share our knowlage of basketball, dont take what anyone says personally. You live and you learn.

But let me add to it, if you believe your right give fill us with info and different perspectives from your point of view, not calling people idiots because we dont agree, make us understand and maybe you will credit you

He might have a little something left, but it isn’t much.  As a Bulls fan, I do not want this guy on the squad for a few reasons.

First has got to be his injury problems.  He hasn’t been healthy in years and if he can’t move, what good is he?  It’s a given that he will miss at least a handful of games next year.

Second, he plays zero defense.  If you want to play for Thibadeau you have to play some sort of defense.  Boozer was benched many times last year because he couldn’t defend his own shadow.  Boozer is already a big liability on defense, if we add Redd that would be two terrible defenders (Boozer, Redd) and one average defender in Rose in the starting lineup.  I don’t like that one bit.  Redd doesn’t cut it defensively to play for the Bulls.

The Bulls need a SG who can both score and play capable defense.  Redd may be able to spot up and hit a few shots, but he will play zero defense and may not be healthy throughout the year.  Don’t want him.

You don’t forget how to shoot, so I’m sure he could fill a designated shooter role.

However, I think he should retire. He’s had a ton of major knee injuries (torn his ACL two or three times), so he should walk away from the game and get a television job.
