I saw on ESPN chat/blog that confirmed a S&T deal between Toronto Raptors and Miami Heat is in place for Chris Bosh. The Toronto Raptors would receive picks and a 15 mil TE in the deal.

So even though the Raptors are not getting Beasley (as BC insisted), the Raptors would probably get their pick back and maybe a Miami 1st round pick along with a huge TE to be used later.

If this is true, at least BC is not completely crap.

I think after this trade goes down, the Heat would try to get Cavs into a S&T agreement for LBJ as found on Windhorst’s Twitter.

Brian Windhorst: Chris Grant is not ruling out a sign and trade with LeBron and the Heat. Personally, I highly doubt Dan Gilbert goes for that. Twitter

If Dan Gilbert do not let his emotion gets in the way, then getting a TE or some picks would be better than getting nothing.

The Heat would certainly try because if both Bosh and LBJ are signed through S&T, the Heat can actually use its MLE!!!

This would significant improve the chance of assembling a solid supporting cast for the dream team lite!

So basically if both Bosh & LBJ are signed through S&T, the Heat would be able to:
    1) retain its own free agents (Dorell Wright, QRich, Haslem, Anthony, etc) because they don’t need to renounce their bird rights
    2) since after signing Wade / Bosh / LBJ and some of its own free agents, the Heat would be over the 58 mil cap, so they can actually use the MLE (can only be use when overcap).

A lot of incentive to convince the Cavs to do S&T for LBJ. However, Dan Gibert may just say no to limit the Heat’s ability to build a solid supporting cast next season.

Cavs are in the biggest whole in the NBA….this is really bad if they are horrible for a while we could see a Seattle situation..

all thanks to Lebron James the hometown Hero.

BC better not go pickup Luol Deng, Elton Brand, or Al Jefferson with that TE. Im sure Igoudala will eventually be out on the market and im sure Philly would like 15 MIL cap relief and some other value for Iggy.

If he picks any of them up without additional compensation it will be terrible.

That being said, if he can get something good with them, then it might not be as bad. Personally, I might not mind some of the following trades…

    1) pick up Deng with additional draft picks and compensation for some dead weight contracts. He is not bad, and is getting paid a little too much for how he plays, but he plays D, rebounds and is pretty good on O. He would be a good deal at 7-8 mil, so we’d have to eat about 4-5 mil on this, but get assets as well.

    2) For Brand, we would have to get IGGY, picks, and send someone like Hedo or Calderon back. I’d be fine taking on Brand if we got enough in return, and lost a bad contract in the process.

    3) Jefferson is a possibility, and I can see the Raps taking him if we can also get Rubio. BC would love Rubio, and if we get him it might not be a bad move, and we would have him for a minimum of 6-7 years.

Other possibilities are Ellis (maybe with Beidrins), Arenas (risky), and Collison and Okafor (for some change).

I can see Toronto getting two big contracts (one bad and one good) in exchange for one of our bad contracts. There might also be some picks thrown in. Seriously, if we got Jefferson and Rubio for Calderon and the TPE It would be great. I just think that the wolves will want a little more.

Anyone else you see BC going after?

I see what your saying but you have to realize that Toronto is the team who is currently needing to move bad contracts. Before we even begin to think of taking o Brand and Igoudala or Deng (who I think is a great player and still has potential) we need to get some expring contracts/2yr contracts and youngplayers/draftpicks for Calderon and Turkoglu.

Before Toronto takes on bad contracts we need to dump bad contracts somewhere else.

I would really like if he targetted Rip Hamilton and traded bad contract for bad contract maybe even getting some young talent in return like Terrico White.

Having a guy like Rip Hamilton around to teach the younger gaurds (Derozan,Weems) would be great for this organization.Reunite him with Amir Johnson and plus when Derozan gets really good he becomes a valueable trade assetrather than an enigma like Turkoglu.

Also I see Orlando dealing back for Gortat possibly if they cant get any better deals.

Pietrus and Gortat for Turkoglu and Bellinelli.
