theasianpersuasionParticipant19 points already for Dwight? He desperately needs some help with the scoring load…
Nice to see him try to be like Tim Duncan with all the bank shots, though.

joecheck88Participantjust listen to the halftime show about dwight. the bank shot could be a devastating tool. the midrange is something teams will live with but that bankshot is money right now and will have to be stopped. and ya if howard can average 22 or 23ppg with the same d and rebounding, how can he not be mvp?

mikeyvthedonParticipantHeat just crushed them. Dwyane and LeBron got Dwight in foul trouble. Yes, Dwight Howard was impressive, and has appeared to improve his offensive game, and VC getting hurt definitely did not help, but both of those players and Orlando still has their weaknesses. I think Miami is going to be incredibly tough to beat at home, a place where I believe they will be playing for a majority of the play-offs. Very difficult team to beat when they are on running on all cylinders, Dwyane Wade looks fantastic (I did not see him against Philly though I know he scored 30, but that Celtic game was the worst I have ever seen him play. I did of course think this was due to rust from the injury, not playing in the pre-season, which appears to be true.), LeBron James is getting more in synch, Chris Bosh is still a tough match-up, and I love the roles James Jones/Eddie House have supplied. Udonis Haslem was such a key signing as well, that is a glue guy right there. So, just wanted to update everyone, as poorly as the Heat played in the Celtic opener, they are crushing the Magic ever since the 2nd half started.

ChrischiParticipantOrlando missing a lot of open shots.
Miami making a lot rather tough shots.
No chance.

omphalosParticipantThat game was ugly, and while Bass is playing great, he doesn’t fit the Orlando system. The whole team is built to be spot up shooters with a C playing inside. The commentators pointed out that none of them can create their own shot barring VC, and when he went down it became more apparent that Orlando needs 4 shooters on the floor to be effective. Ryan Anderson should get those minutes instead because he is a good shooter from deep. However, Bass has trade value for Orlando.
Off the top of my head, places he’d fit in;
I feel like he would fit in well with the Nets at the PF, and Orlando get a shooter in Murphy.
Also Washington could ship out Yi Jianlian for Bass, who would push Blatche for the starting spot with his energy and physicality, something Blatche was sorely lacking in. Of course, shooting big man is good for Orlando too.
That said, I doubt any of these trades will happen, but in my opinion, it’d be in the best interests of both parties for Orlando and Bass to go their separate ways.
