BasterdInABasketParticipantTwo most exciting teams in the league and probably 5 of the top 15 players in the league all on the court tonight.. What are you guys looking forward to most in this game?
I want to see if Bosh can step up tonight vs. Blake and Jordan. James and Wade are gonna put up their usual numbers. Paul needs to own his matchups too against two young guards.

BasterdInABasketParticipanta minute later and id be saying the same thing
Rough start for Bosh.. 3 TO, a foul, one ugly shot swatted by Jordan and blake made him look bad in the post but who doesnt he make look bad.

Michael.S.ParticipantBosh is in a fog.

Future_Scoutwow. joel anthony has developed a hook shoot. i’ve been seeing it this season. LAST YEAR: NEVER! he can actually catch the ball too.

Stevencp3 best handles in the league bar none? or what are your thoughts…
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 6:13pm #624010
Stevenhes got that rock on a string..
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 6:15pm #624013
Michael.S.ParticipantNahh, D-Rose for me.
LeBron’s alley oop was crazy.
Cole cost them 4 easy points by 2 bad fouls.
Anthony coming up big on D and offense, surprisingly.
And I don’t see any way the Clips are containing LJ tonight.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 6:17pm #624014
Michael.S.ParticipantCan Bosh be any worse?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 6:27pm #624017
Michael.S.ParticipantCole needs more polish and experience, to be honest. He is still a good player though.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 7:36pm #624030
Stevengod, i hate saying this after just 1 game, but this game proves that cp3 is bar none the best pg in the league… seriously. and i dont even think its close… i just dont think he comes with this type of energy every night…
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 7:38pm #624031
Michael.S.ParticipantChris Paul playing immaculate ball.
Butler needs to be forced to put the ball on the floor.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 7:40pm #624033
FastAndFuriousParticipantD Rose does not have the best handles in the League, if you think so, your not watching the game that’s on ESPN right now, CP3 hands down, Rose has handles, but he beats you more with speed and explosiveness, CP3 is all yo-yo mixed with a little quickness.
And call me crazy CP3 doesn’t have to dunk, push the ball up the court in 3 seconds or be that super athlete, but when he’s playing like this he is the best PG in the game man.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 7:41pm #624034
FastAndFuriousParticipantDamn steven you beat me to it lol
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 7:44pm #624036
Michael.S.ParticipantNo, I am watching the game and that doesn’t change my opinion.

Michael.S.ParticipantLike I said cole to inexperienced.

Michael.S.ParticipantLate call for Wade
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:02pm #624047
Michael.S.Participantbut it was a foul
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:08pm #624049
F_DA_POParticipantPaul is having an insane game and the Heat look like a train wreck in the 4th quarter as usual. Let’s see what happens…
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:15pm #624050
Michael.S.Participant!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:17pm #624052
Im Your FatherParticipantI don’t think Rose is even in the discussion for best ball handler. But personally I’d go withDeron Williams or Jamal Crawford.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:18pm #624053
F_DA_POParticipantLeBron with Billups on him with 30 seconds left, decides to settle for the step back jumper instead of taking advantage of the mismatch… LeBrick…. Then fouls Billups behind the arc… lmao
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:18pm #624054
butidonthavemoneyWhoops.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:18pm #624055
Im Your FatherParticipantThat’s the second time Lebron’s fouled a three-point shooter.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:25pm #624057
BasterdInABasketParticipantWAADDDEE!!! Damn what a save!

KayjayParticipantIt must be the fourth quarter…
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:29pm #624059
llperezwow, replay shows lebron took like 7 steps. Seriously.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:29pm #624060
F_DA_POParticipantLeBron needs to take 1,000 free throw shots after the game tonight
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:30pm #624061
KayjayParticipantAll day.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:30pm #624062
IndianaBasketballParticipantAnd people complain when LeBron gets criticized… He gives them reason.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:30pm #624063
Im Your FatherParticipantBosh: 3-5
Wade: 5-8
James: 9-17
Quality job at line tonight by the Heat.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:31pm #624064
Future_ScoutOT OT OT OT!!!!!!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:32pm #624065
ultrablue123ParticipantLeBron is really not doing much to get rid of his reputation as a 4th quarter choke artist. The man is missing key free throws.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:32pm #624066
Im Your FatherParticipantHaha did people think I was serious?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:33pm #624067
FastAndFuriousParticipantMan, Lebron better have a HUGE OT
I am a huge Bron fan, I think everyone knows that by now, but does he forget how to play in the 4th quarter or crunch time?
First you just bully’d billups to the lane, get the same exact play and settle for a jumper, then you foul billups on a 3point shot and he is one of the best free throw shooters in the game, then you can’t make no free throws.
DAMN BRON!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:34pm #624068
Michael.S.ParticipantHe’s been off from the line all game, can’t say he hasn’t been aggressive though in the 4th.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:34pm #624069
IndianaBasketballParticipantThis is the knock on LeBron… He gets a little smaller in the fourth quarter. You can just see the look in his eye and change in his body language that he does NOT want to be on that line.
This is the second night in a row he’s settled for a jumper during crucial times of the game when he should’ve taken it to the rim. It’s just confusing.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:36pm #624070
IndianaBasketballParticipantWow… LeBron’s WHOLE game has changed.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:38pm #624071
Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantThis is just sad. I like LeBron but he’s putting himself to shame in this overtime period. What is he? 0-4 already?
He is the most incomplete "most complete player" in the league. If that makes sense.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:41pm #624072
IndianaBasketballParticipantIt’s too bad D. Wade is struggling with foot issues because LeBron just isn’t getting it done.
And Jordan is blocking everything.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:42pm #624073
Future_Scoutgoaltending, clearly
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:42pm #624074
IndianaBasketballParticipant - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:42pm #624076
KayjayParticipantAs a whole need to address their late game play. It is just awful. The only excuse I can offer them is the fact that they played last night.
Btw, that was clearly a goal tend. Lol and you thought Lebron’s travels were bad.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:42pm #624077
Michael.S.ParticipantDont make excuses for Wade. Please.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:43pm #624075
ultrablue123ParticipantI think that last one was a goaltending though
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:44pm #624079
IndianaBasketballParticipantDwayne Wade has plantar faciitis… It’s SO easy to see he isn’t the same, but is grinding through it.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:45pm #624080
Michael.S.ParticipantHe is playing, period. Like I said, no excuses.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:46pm #624081
Future_Scoutjordan: player of the game
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:47pm #624082
Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantIt’s very difficult to root for the Heat when they continue to Burress themeslves…
Burr – ess (verb) – to shoot yourself in the leg
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:47pm #624083
IndianaBasketballParticipantYou are one of the posters who get mad when others say LeBron isn’t that clutch… Here is an example of what people are talking about.
He is amazing for like the first 40-44 minutes but during close games and that game is on the line, he gets smaller… ESPECIALLY when he gets put on the line.
His body language changes… It’s like he loses his swag and confidence.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:47pm #624084
DanEboyParticipantHahahaha….LeBron fails again.
Go Bulls.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:49pm #624085
KayjayParticipantLol I will say this though, if you think for one second the Heat won’t be in the bulls ass like last season during the play offs. You are sadly mistaken. Its one game, and they are 8-3. It is not the end of the world.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:51pm #624087
FastAndFuriousParticipantDAMN YOU LEBRON!!!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:51pm #624088
Michael.S.ParticipantYour the type of poster who comes around to throw in your skip bayless esque nonsense during games like this but when its the other way around your never here. No praise, you act like it never happened.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:51pm #624089
DanEboyParticipantI love all the people I pi/ss off in here. The guy is a mental case when the game is on the line. Instead of whining and grimacing, he should be hitting his free throws or a lay up.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:51pm #624090
llperezeveryone calls out lebron for settling for jumpshots, but reality is if you want to be considered clutch, you gotta be able to knock down open jumpers. If anything he overpenetrated tonight. Just pass I guess if the jumper aint gonna fall and there is no driving lane there. Say what you want about lebron being the best player today, he might very well be. But he isnt close to the most skilled
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:53pm #624092
IndianaBasketballParticipantLmao… Nevermind man. You are way too sensitve. Just pointing this out due to the debate about this not too long ago.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:56pm #624093
DanEboyParticipantHey, I still say he is the most talented player ever. Just loses his mind when it matters. I feel like he thinks about all of the criticism when he is standing on the line, or when the game is on the line. Instead of just using his instincts like Kobe.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 8:56pm #624094
IndianaBasketballParticipantLeBron still is a player who has no real go-to move… He just looks out of rhythm in the clutch. He takes jumpers when he should drive and then drives too deep (the play where he jump stopped and traveled) when he should pull up.
Like I was saying in the other debate… I think D. Wade is a more clutch player and should have the ball in his hands. LeBron scored 2 points in the fourth quarter and OT… And looked like he had gum on his shoes.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 9:15pm #624104
db24kb24ParticipantI missed the game, but U all gave me a very nice recap. Lemme get this straight.
Bosh was overmatched, Dwayne played decent but his foot injury limited him, and Lebron picked up right where he left off last postseason, not clutch.
I am going to blame Spo for all the heats failure this season. How hard is it to say Give the ball to Dwade in crunch time.?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 9:20pm #624108
Stevenlisten. if you are touted the best player in the game, you damn better finish the game. "its not how you start, but how you finish!" c’mon fellas… how can we call him one of the best ever if he cant even close out games… neg me all you want but im taking" kobe, wade, AND durant AND melo over him….
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 9:29pm #624110
Stevenno but in all seriousness…lebrons been in the league, what 8 years now? how many game winners does he have. serious question. im gonna go out on a limb, and say 5-7 max. how many times has he taken over a fourth qtr. again going to go out on a limb and say 10 times max. which is not enough for "the king" or 1 of the best ever. im sorry but in my book best ever includes MJ, bird, Magic… those guys played the same beggining to end. closing out games, taking over games, etc… lebron doesnt. which to me is why he’ll never be one of the best.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 9:52pm #624113
FastAndFuriousParticipantWoah there steven, everything you said was about right, until you said he will never be one of the best, that’s where ppl go to far, dude is already on of the best to ever do it and only 27 and was considered one of the best to ever do it at about 24,25.
You saying him not being clutch is valid to a certain extent, he has been to the NBA Finals with the Lowly Cavs and has took them on a couple deep runs in the playoffs so he is clutch in some sense, but that’s neither here nor there.
One thing you can’t deny tho, he is one of the best and whenever he retires he will be a 1st ballot HOF, and a top 10 player regardless if he wins a ring, the numbers the man puts up, and his physical dominance will get him there alone, and if he wins a ring then he enters the discussion for top 5, hell depending on how many rings he could be considered the BEST to ever do it.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 9:58pm #624114
andxxxParticipantI’ll say this about L
0 - Posted on: Wed, 01/11/2012 - 10:08pm #624117
andxxxParticipantI’ll say this about Lebron he’s been the leader in 4th quarter scoring, he’s been great in the last 5 minutes of 4th quarters, he’s made clutch shots in the playoffs against the Wizards, Pistons, Magic, Celtics and Bulls. The problem is that in sports it’s about what have you done for me lately and RIGHT NOW he’s not even in my top 20 of players I would trust in the 4th quarter. I don’t know if the comments have gotten to him or what, but the critics the last two years in the regular season and the finals atleast, have been right. He’s going to eventually have to prove people wrong.
