valentineThought’s on what’s happening on ESPN in the Thunder and Grizzlies game.
Gasol showing why he’s in the conversation for best Centre in the league.

For_Never_EverParticipantButler is a solid player, and won’t hurt you in any area. But, if Jeremy Lamb isn’t getting starting minutes by next season he should go else where somehow. He is a starting caliber player.

Rip255Sometimes I wonder about whether Hasheem Thabeet would have some game if given more minutes. He’s deep on the bench and hasn’t gotten minutes anywhere his whole career.
How can he still be this bad? He was touted as the next Mutombo.
I remember him in College as a 7’3" guy who could run the floor and block a ton of shots.
What is it that he can’t do that’s stopping him getting minutes at least a defensive back-up?

For_Never_EverParticipantNo, he really isn’t good. I’ve watched a lot of OKC games this season. Even during garbage minutes he doesn’t stick out on anything and his height doesn’t play a factor either. He is just a very tall guy on the court.

B-ball fanParticipantMemphis needs to make shots. They have probably outplayed OKC for most of this game, they just miss everything.

Rip255I like Doug Collin’s comment that Mike Miller needs to step up.
He’s expected to light up at least 1 game per series where he hits 5 for 7 treys in 15 minutes.

dannyg219ParticipantRapper "Future" is at his second playoff game today. Earlier court side with lil Jon at the hawks game, now by the thunder bench. Two good playoffs games(no disrespect charlotte) in one day? Jot that down in the bucket list.

B-ball fanParticipantMemphis is the team relying on its star power this game. Almost verybody on their team is struggling to hit even easy shots, but Gasol just doesn’t seem to miss. OKC may be up, but Memphis really should be able to come back, because they have really been the better team most of today in most facets of the game.

Ghost01ParticipantAs much as I respect the Grizzlies, they really have played bad. With how poorly Westbrook and Durant have played they shouldn’t be down in this game.

B-ball fanParticipantThis is such a classic Grizzlies playoff games. They miss a million lay-ups, free-throws and jumpers, but they just lock down on defense and never abandon their half-court offense no matter what. Their patience on offense is their biggest virtue. They have added some pace this quarter, but they still execute well and take good shots.

Ghost01ParticipantTony Allen is having a phenomenal series.
The difference between him and every other perimeter defender in the league is the widest margin of any position for offense or defense.

B-ball fanParticipantThis is huge for OKC. Memphis’s small ball is killing them, so the rest of series might be even more difficult for them than the first half of the series has been.
