How can I honestly take the Memphis Tigers seriously? They play in a horrible Conference USA where the teams don’t have nearly the talent caliber of Memphis. How can I gauge what type of team they will be when they are in the tournament. Are they a worthy numero uno seed. They should do what Notre Dame does in football and schedule maybe a BCS conference. Another Topic How good a sleeper will A.J. Price be of Uconn the kid is a baller yikes. I feel people aren’t high on him maybe cause he’s like a 5th year senior, but boy he can play he isn’t as flashy as some other guys that are point guards in the draft, but he’s the guy that makes the Huskies go. Without him they would have a couple of more L’s in the lost column. Price is a good shooter who I think could play well in the NBA, and could be a good 6th man. Jim Calhoun usually produces low bust pros.

Check the record bro… National Championship, Final Fours, and Elite Eights. Regardless on how horrible the Conference is, they produce in the Tourney. So they are kidding you with the weak conference. Until they reach the tourney and make it further than a duke, chapel hill, or uconn… That guy Calipari is a GREAT coach and will get better next year with Zay, Cousins, Evans, and if they get John Wall its a WRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you are so annoying. i think you need to check the record bro, LOL. when you say national championship that implies that they have won one. and final fours? how about A final four. calipari is a great coach, but john chaney also said ‘you a cheat to him.’ also on your rubio post, what were you talking about concerning anglo-saxons? i dont think marchetti said anything about white point guards. regardless, rubio is spanish, nearly the opposite of anglo-saxon. do you know what that means? it means of german or english ancestry. bottom line i think you need to chill with calling people dumb or idiots on this site unless something you say actually happens, or something someone else says does not. until then, cool it.

It don’t feel right calling you James Harden since you are not him. LOL… I wrote the post so how are you going to tell me what I am trying to imply? And just because John Chaney says you a cheat means you are not a good coach? I’m confused… And as far as the Ricky Rubio thing I only stated Anglo-saxon because White or Caucasian didn’t come to mind. I know that he’s Spanish but I only stated that because people don’t see that, they see white skin and automatically thinks he can shoot. Thats why I said that. If you read the post correctly you would have noticed what I implied. Instead you are so opinionated to everything I say you seem not to get my point.

Yes that’s a true statement because if you are a GM and you take Ricky over Blake you are an idiot. I apologize if I offended YOU but its the harsh truth. If anyone tell me a non-explosive, non-shooting, 18 Year Old PG is the number pick, I would quickly say who lost their job? At 6’3, 180 too? Over Blake Griffin? YOU can’t possibly tell me that is a clever statement. And telling me I need to chill out on calling people dumb, who are YOU!! Let me know please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Captain save-a-H@e?

I feel Memphis is getting an easy ride to the tournamnet every year. The fact they get 15 easy wins in conference play doesn’t equate to playing in the riggers of the Big East. With Memphis’ conference schedule it allows them to gel as unit and get there team in order, also they get to rest players during blowouts witch regularly occurs. They also benefit for piling up these wins, and when selection Sunday comes around they see Memphis has 27 wins and put them as a 1 or a 2 seed. The reason why they get to a tons of final fours and championship (lol) is because they are high seeds all the time, and therefore have an easier road. In Big East play or any other perenial power conference they would have lost 6 or 8 games. I like Memphis I have nothing wrong with them, but facts don’t lie. They will be I think a 2 seed because the panel will put what I just said into consideration. Tuck243 is the man he just drops knowledge on all of us lol.

Maybe Memphis does get an easy ride into the tournament, but I think they are as good as advertised. I’ve lived in Syracuse my entire life and I’d love to see Memphis outwit and last some of these big east power houses, which I very well think they could. For a team like Memphis to play in such a conference I’d have to say their maybe a 3-5 Loss team which would put them within the ranks of a Connecticut, Pittsburgh, and Villanova. Do I think their truly a top 10 team in the country… No, but College Basketball is so down this year that even recovering teams like Kansas and Memphis Are pushed into the spotlight because of their prior achievements.

Stop hating on Memphis. They have an easy conference but they haven’t lost in 3 years! I don’t care what you say, very few teams could do that. Plus they play a lot of good teams out of conference every year. Even when they get a high seed becuase of their “sucky schedule” they always back it up. Last year they beat Texas, killed MSU and beat UCLA ( many picked them to win it all) then should have beaten Kansas. This year is one of their worse teams but they will still go far in the Tourney and they will beat good teams, they always do.

Calipari is one of the top coaches in the nation too, so this stuff about him cheating and everything is just an excuse for people to discredit him. Just look at his recruiting classes and you will get what I mean.

They have too much athleticism to not advance in the tourny. They will lose in the 2nd round though probably. Tyreke Evans wont have the juice to take them too far in my opinion.

I don’t think they would face a good enough team in the second round to bump them off, you never know though.

say what you want about Memphis having a weak conference, they make AT LEAST the Elite 8 yearly, so they’re definately one of the top teams in the country!!!!!
