I feel like Melo might be smart to consider Philly as a new home. I know he’s said he wants to be in NY but a lineup of MCW, Wiggins/Parker, Melo, Thad Young and Noel would be crazy to think of. Seems like a stretch to ask Parker or Melo to guard the 2 but I think in a lineup like that with so many versatile defenders a slight mismatch like that could be masked. And if it were to work it could actually be a long lasting stay for Melo…when he gets up in age and declines a 25 year old Wiggins or Parker along with MCW and Noel would be a hell of a young squad for him to have around and to also lead.

I don’t want to sound like a dick, but that is rediculous.  IF he leaves the big money and spotlight he has going, it would have to be for a win now situation, not build for a few then see what happens.

The only players willing to go to Philly will be bench warmers or selfish players that will pad their stats with the 6ers because they’re basically a college team in the pro leagues. We talk about how good the 6ers COULD be, but right now they’re crap. It is getting damn old and annoying hearing stuff about the 76ers, and I know this isn’t just me. I guess I’ll be negged but this 6ers talk is getting old I am well aware that 6ers fans don’t have anything better to do, so I am nit-picking in a way but this is my opinion.

They have enough draft picks and/or assets in general to at least form a contender. Philly could probably package some of their youth and picks and make moves to win now and with Melo there that makes it even more possible. Better than whatever can be done in NY. I don’t think there’s no way he can win a championship with the Knicks.

Double negative, you just said you think Melo can win a championship in New York and didn’t even realize it.

You’re not taking into account that Melo wants to win NOW…  He doesn’t have time to wait for the Sixers players to get better…  MCW isn’t that good… What the hell do you know about Wiggins progress as a player RIGHT NOW?  Nothing…  If you think its smart for him to wait on someone then he should just wait in NYC when Amare’s contract is up after next season…  I get what you’re saying, but this isn’t a overnight process for your solution…  That will take a couple years and I don’t see why Melo would wait that long for a team that tanked all last season…

Yes as a Sixers fan we should get LeBron, Melo and Kevin Love….but we will have to settle for Josh McRoberts (or somebody equally unexciting).
