    Mel Turpin, former Kentucky center and 6th overall pick of the 1984 NBA Draft by the Washington Bullets, was found dead in Lexington on Thursday of an apparent suicide.

    RealGM Note: Turpin was initially traded by the Bullets to the Cavaliers, though he eventually ended his career in Washington after a stint with the Jazz.

    This is my 1st time hearing this..and i’ve been watching espn & listening to alot of sports talk shows…nobody has spoken about Turpin’s death…Everyone is talking about Lebron..

    Even if u go to espn.com/nba its not even on that, thats just straight up disrespectful, i’ve never even heard of this player but thats just not right RIP buddy
