Mega trade
Knicks fans, would you rather this trade or the Melo trade to LA?? http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=22wjrfm?? LOL
The Lakeshow also gets Congo Ca$h(Mbenga) when he is eligible to be traded.
Paul/Fisher
Kobe/Blake/Bellinelli
Ariza/Barnes/Walton
Odom/Caracter/Smith
Gasol/Ratliff/Mbenga
The Magic get better
Nelson/Duhon/Williams
Arenas/Parker/Redick
Turkoglu/Q.Richardson/Clark
Jamison/Bass/Anderson
Howard/Allen/Orton
Dan Gilbert would love to give away Jamison to give him a chance to beat Lehype in the playoffs
The Hornets upgrade at 3 positions(Brown,Artest,Bynum), and they can get lucky with Bynum if he stays healthy.
Williams/Jack/Banks
Brown/Thornton/Green
Artest/Pondexter
West/Mensah-Bonsu/Smith
Bynum/Gray/Andersen
Artest can retire in 2 years and tryout for the Saints LOL
The Cavs improve their chances of becoming a playoff team next year with this trade( Richardson's expiring contract will help them in the offseason, and it gives them a legit starting 2). Okafor reunites with B Scott and he gives them a legit center.
Sessions/Gibson
Richardson/Gee/Harris/Eyenga
Moon/Ebanks/Graham
Hickson/Powe/Samuels
Okafor/Varejao/Hollins
The Hornets have absolutely 0 chance against the Lakers bro, and this trade helps them save a ton of money(Okafor comes off the books). The Lakers just destroyed the Hornets the other day on a back to back. CP3 is about to complain anyday now. The Lakers have to much size for every team in the west.
You haters can't even come up with a good argument to prove that this is a bad trade. I could get use to seeing this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbDEGI4RzHg
J-Rich is easily better then Jamison, they have a solid PF in Bass now anyway who is is the strong player Orlando needs to defend the PF's of the game. Jamison showed he doesn't show up consistently in the playoffs, and he wouldn't get minutes with Bass and Turkoglu around, they get forward heavy. J-Rich is a strong SG who can score in bunches.
It's a good thing many of you on this website are not GMs, because you guys would be unemployed within a week. It makes sense though if you think about it, this website is great for teams that will be in the lottery LMAO. By the way JRich is not better than Jamison. Arenas is a better player than JRich, there is no way he should be coming off the bench(especially with his salary).
I believe DNYCE was hired by someone that HATES BASKETBALL to Destroy the game.....lol
Jamison spreads the floor for the offensively challenged Howard to go to work in the paint. Does Rashard Lewis at the 4 ring a bell?? Jamison would play the role of Lewis.
The Magic is still a mediocre team as assembled that will not get out the east. If they pulled this trade off they will have a legitimate shot at the Finals.
If you don't think this is a better Magic team than you just don't know basketball very well.
Nelson/Duhon/Williams
Arenas/Parker/Redick
Turkoglu/Q.Richardson/Clark
Jamison/Bass/Anderson
Howard/Allen/Orton
Obivously, But the team they have right now is better then after your trade. Arenas can't guard SG's well, J-Rich does a better job, Redick would be above Parker, Van Gundy is playing him more then Arenas at the moment. Bass' defense is much improved this season, and they're playing him a lot of minutes when they could use turkoglu at the PF instead of SF why? Because they didn't want to stretch the floor so much anymore, they still do, but nowhere near as much. Bass' midrange jumpshot is just fine for them and Howard is offensively doing a lot better this season, so i wouldn't say he his offensively challenged anymore.
So what was the point in bringing in Arenas, to be a backup PG?? They will eventually slide Arenas to the 2(his natural position imo).
Nelson/Duhon/Williams
Arenas/Parker/Redick
Turkoglu/Q.Richardson/Clark
Jamison/Bass/Anderson
Howard/Allen/Orton
This trade makes the Magic deeper and dangerous. As constructed the Magic wont make it out of the east I guarantee that.
Arenas doesn't get a whole lot of mintues playing SG, he's only getting 24mpg a game behind Nelson. Jamison is no good for the Magic, it just contradicts the entire reason they did their trade to get Richardson, Turkoglu and Arenas in the first place. This team only needs a backup big man to help Howard when he's in foul trouble and their good enough to challenge the Heat and Celtics.
If you look at it defensively, going up against Garnett or Bosh or even some western conference PF's in Gasol and Nowitzki. Bass is suited a lot better to defending these guys then Jamison. With Arenas at the 2 spot, Wade/Allen, Arenas would simply fall down, Wade is simply too strong and Allen would just shoot over him. Richardson at the 2 however, he can match Wade strength wise, but Wade would still outdo him easily. and Allen wouldn't be able to shoot over him as easily.
This entire trade is just a lakers fans dream, and obviously won't happen anyway.
and Turgoklu is only playing the 4 spot in limited stretches? hows that contradictory, espcially since its usually been when the opposing team is playing a bench PF or a soft one?
Since when has JRich and defense come in the same sentence?? Did you watch the WCFS last season(Lakers vs Suns), Grant Hill and Dudley had to guard Kobe due to Richardson's terrible on ball defense.
So you went to their actual weights? You do realise what such a strong guard Wade is right? You do realise how high Allen jumps when he shoots right? Arenas didn't gain strength when he added on the weight in case you didn't realise?
Just looking at the trade you can see how one-way it is towards the Lakers. Hornets are looking to add talent to play WITH Paul rather then trade Paul away. Orlando gets robbed.
Grant Hill is a very good defender? and Dudley is reasonably good as well? Richardson is okay but isn't the greatest, but matches up to opposing 2 guards a lot better then what Arenas does.
How the hell is this one sided towards the Lakers? Because we are going to get CP3? Every team gets something back that will help thier franchise. The Hornets are not doing well financially(NBA owns them) they aren't going to add talent around Paul of substance, get real. Trading Okafor would save the Hornets a ton of money.
Do you really think that these 4 teams would come together to do this trade? Arenas told Van Gundy he wanted to come off the bench? Orlando gets nothing which would help them, this subtracts from them. Cleveland wouldn't take on the massive contract of Okafor if they want to rebuild, 4 years his bloated contract has left on it. New Orleans wants to keep paul and knows they must add players to do this. Ariza suits New Orleans better then what Artest does.
If Arenas can't guard opposing 2guards he shouldn't even be on this Magic team. It's also funny that you want to act as if Ray Allen and Wade won't have to guard Arenas on the other end.
If Gilbert is 6'4 then I'm 6'6. Ive meet the guy plenty of times and he is 6'2 unless. Not that It matters because his height has nothing to do with his ability. And he looks good coming off the bench for the Magic. He doesn't need to start he just needs to continue to play like he is playing off the bench like Jason terry does. It's working very well so far so no need to change it
Right now I'm not sure. but that doesn't matter. you go with what is working and what they have no is working. You dont make a change because you think it MIGHT work better if what you are doing is already working. There are plenty of guys who come off the bench who are better then the starters but it works better for them to come off the bench.
Ginobli
Terry
and other guys have come off the bench for the benefit of the team.

Every team wins with this trade.
