Memphis gives Mayo and a first round pick.

And Minnesota gives up Wes Johnson and Ricky Rubio and a first round pick.

Would this be a good trade? Does either team get better with this trade? Who in your mind comes out the winner? I think both team win with this trade. the Griz get a good point and a good role player. And the Wolves get the SG they really need.

Why would Minny do this?  Rubio will either stay overseas or be  Timberwolf.  Johnson I could see getting traded though because he is not a 2 guard.  Memphis will only want a 2 guard and maybe a nother big man if Randolph and Gasol jump ship.

Although his upside is high he has a downside that can be low because he is a scorer who will take away from another stars progression if on the court at the same time. The bargain price for Mayo will be very pricey just because of his potential to become a future All-Star. He still can give you 20pts or better any given night and that is a plus for a 3rd year player.

Trade proposals are always fun to talk about especially as the season goes along and it become evident that players will be moved.

I think Mayo is moved, the Grizz drafted a pure SG in Henry and locked up Gay and Conley therefore they don’t truly need Mayo and they are def not using him right.  Mayo is not the come off the bench type because he has been a prodigy his whole life and his first 2 years in the league.  Look at the progression Eric Gordon has made.  That is how Mayo should be coming along.  He got to get out of Memphis and I think everybody knows that.

I would love for Philly to acquire Mayo but not for the price of Turner.  Turner is not busting or playing bad basketball as the stats may make it look like.  Turner is just confused and so is Collins as to how to use him.  And Thad Young is way better then Wes Johnson and he’s younger.

Iggy must go tho.

I would do a Turner for Beasley trade tho.  Minny loves Turner and he would be perfect for their offense.  Turner, Hawes, and Young for Beasley, Darko, and Corey Brewer.  That’s a pretty even trade in my eyes.
