Wavy BagelsParticipantI’m watching this game and so far it’s 2-18 with the raptors up….I have to say James Johnson is looking like a good pickup along with Ed Davis starting in place of Bargs tonight…So should the Raps trade Bargs? Demar Derozan is a jumpshot away from being a 20+ point guy, so the scoring void would be filled…what do you guys think?

Tha_PrinceParticipantYes! I really think trading Bargs would be a good option. If I learned anything from the Bosh era it’s that you don’t build a franchise around a soft player.
This start is very surprising, Ed Davis had 17 points and 11 boards the last time they played each other so keep an eye out for his game.

I May Be WrongParticipantno way, not yet. The Raptors have scoring threats and good pieces. They’re just missing a leader (preferrably a franchise PG) and maybe a couple of perimter defenders to compliment DeMar AND a coach who wants to stress the importance of defense. They will be a fun team to watch in a couple of seasons

TyroberParticipantWhos going to give anything of value for a soft 7footer that doesnt rebound? Bargnani is a nice player, but I dont think he helps a team win

Snubs15ParticipantExactly, trade Bargnani and play Davis, and the two Johnsons more minutes and we will drastically improve defensively and the offense will still be alright since Derozan is improving so much. Draft a pg, preferrably kyrie irving and future is bright.

flyboyParticipantToronto has no 1st option offensively tonight and doesn’t defend well enough to win a scrappy game, so it was only a matter of time before the blowout came.

flyboyParticipantUnless you get close to or equal value in return, which the Raptors probably wont. Bargnani is their #1 player, and they don’t have anyone else on the roster capable of being that consistently, so they need him.

In the right situation he could help LOTS of teams win are you kidding me? A 7 footer who puts up 22PPG is pretty hard to find.
He’s not a 1st option right now in his career and may never be but he would be a solid 2nd or 3rd scoring option on a team, team him up with a defensive minded C (Dwight Howard) and they good be a damn good duo.
