I’m sorry for this in advance, I will probably keep having post about Markelle Fultz after each game. He is so special man. GOODNESS. He just put up 35 points on 14 shots, hit 3/5 three pointers, and made tons of athletic/acrobatic plays. I know it’s only two games and Jayson Tatum, Marquise Bolded, and Harry Giles didn’t play yet, but after what I’ve seen, he’s the most impressive freshman in this class by a pretty good margin, might be the best I’ve seen in a couple years.

He showed me some old Derrick Rose type of special when he attacks and being lowkey about. Man, if you watch the game you can tell that he was special. I believe a lot of people undersold his ceiling and athleticism during the preseason. He’s way more athletic than I expected him to be. He’s must watch TV.

If you want to watch him you have to go to Pac-12.com when it’s not on ESPN, FOX Sports. CBS, etc… But, man…….

Fultz is a special player. Can’t wait to watch him and lonzo go head to head. Already got my tickets.

Lorenzo Romar consistently has some of the top talent in the nation. If the dawgs don’t make the dance this year he needs to get the axe.

They have already lost to Yale at home and barely got past western washington. It amazes me this guy still has a job. What has he done? Imagine what udub could do if they had a calipari or coach k?!?! They would be a national power house year in and year out.

Many coaches are terrible recruiters and great at  the X’s and O’s

Wonder when their AD figures out he’ll need to hire a good Coach and not a Great Recruiter…

On to Markelle Fultz, he’s clearly on the 76ers Big Board this year, he’d be a great fit next to Simmons and Embiid, just have to find the SG to slide next to him (Fingers crossed we trade for Bradley Beal)

Between Fultz, Ball, Smith Jr, Fox and even Monk I’m super exited for this draft class, we clearly have to upgrade our PG or SG situation and what better year to have multiple lottery picks (The Lakers will just miss the Playoffs IMO)

I think his recruiting is overrated. It’s pretty easy to sell an 18 year kid on Seattle. Also Seattle is oozing with homegrown talent to recruit.

Fultz is best case scenario because he can start at PG or SG depending on who else they bring in.  He reminds me of Roy in that aspect.

35pts on 10 made shots is ridiculous.

He is proving his case for being the number one pick.

With his size and skillset he probably can play both guard positions so no team will pass on him if he stays haelthy and consistent.

Two games he’s played in are against two teams who play non existent defense..

While Fultz has looked extremely impressive against Yale (A game he lost) and Cal Fullerton a team that stuck around until the end of the game.. Ill be waiting to watch him play against blueblood talent,  I personally think Lonzo Ball is the better talent, Im very excited to watch Ucla play Washington.

So what if the comp is not up to your standard. UCLA didn’t play anyone either, Washington opponents is way better than UCLA when Ball went off against. UCLA was in a dog fight last night against San Diego, not state.

I get the some of the Lonzo Ball love, but there’s so much "high ceiling, low floor" in his game. Fultz have that flare, that excitement, that DRose/Lillard type of silent killer inside of him. Don’t really see that in Ball. Fultz could do much more things on the court than Ball could. Ball can be great, but he’s not on the level Fultz is on. Fultz is one the youngest in the class and he’s keep getting better by the month. He’s a different level of talent than Ball.

I don’t get why the argument "Look at the schedule/Look at the defense" when trying to knock, don’t say that wasn’t a jab at his performance. He’s going against the teams that’s on his schedule. Both teams seem like they can make the tournament.

UCLA was in a Dog Fight vs San Diego? UCLA controlled both halves.. Washington was neck and neck with Cal Fullerton at HOME till they broke away at the end..Fultz playing point guard with a 3.5 to 6 assist while averaging 35 points against un athletic borderline D1 athletes is concerning.. Lonzo Ball is throwing 8 asst at 2 TOs a game!! Fultz is definitely a great scorer and ran wild on these two programs.. I do think hes an excellent talent but im still not sold on him so far as being a PG.. Looks a lot like Monta Ellis to me..

I find it hilarious knock the level of play Washington have played, but you use that to disregard everything he has done. Everybody would’ve told you that Yale is a NCAA tourney team, you can’t say that against San Diego (Not State.), Cal State Northridge, and Pacific. I watched those last two games and it was mostly close. You can say that they won by 20 and 15 points, but Washington beat Cal State Fulluton by almost the same. The level of comp is besides the point, Yale is by far better than Pacific, Cal State Northridge, and San Diego. There’s no denying that.

How dare Markelle Fultz have 1.2 more tornovers per game than Lonzo Ball, that right there is the deal breaker that Ball average 1.2 less tornovers per game so he’s better. LOL.

Saying Markelle Fultz is Mante Ellis is like saying Lonzo Ball is Elfrid Payton. Calm down the chill pill. Ben Simmons averaged 4.5 assist to 3 turnovers per game. Steph Curry averaged (for his colege career )3 assist and 3 turnovers per game .

Fultz production for his usage is great right now, He dominated the ball and got to the line a ton vs average athletes.. Im not knocking him as a talent, but he’s a shooting guard playing PG.. I will personally eat crow and say im sorry for doubting your boy cause its clear your nothing short of passionate about his prospect..

It was a obvious jab. You praised Lonzo Ball for going against worst comp. then discredit Fultz for going against better comp than what UCLA faced.

You can say players are "shooting guards in point guards body” all you want, but that’s the NBA now. You have point guard James Harden, Russell Westbrook, Steph Curry, Dame Lillard, Kyrie Irving as the same thing you characterized Fultz for being. Just because they are not "pass first" point guards, doesn’t mean that they aren’t a point guard. That’s a lazy description.

Then you want to come at me w/ the "I’m passionate about the prospect" line. We can’t have a civil conversation about prospects? LOL. Move along.

As I said last week, mark my words Fultz will not be taken over Lonzo.. Coincidentally looking at the updated big board people on this site agree with that sentiment granted Lonzo is sitting on top of your boy right now on the mock draft.. I will drop the topic now till Lonzo Ball vs Markelle Fultz matchup comes up because Zo is going to eat this kids lunch..

You act like this site is the only credible big board. Not to knock this site, but this said site compared DeShaun Stevenson to Michael Jordan and plenty more inaccruate comps and pick selections. Draftexpress, ESPN, and plenty more sites have Fults is either #1 or #2 behind Josh Jackson.

Alright. And a college matchup won’t determine who will be better in the NBA and will be drafted higher. KAT got outdualed by Frank Kaminsky, who team won that game and who is having a successful NBA career. You can believe Lonzo is better, but I believe (and mostly everyone) Markelle Fultz is the best prospect in this class.

Fultz wont be able to to get away playing the way he does in College, You compared Fultz to Rose and I like that comparison.. Fultz like Rose wont be able to handle the physical nature of the NBA.. He has a slight frame and needs to add some some size.. Harden and Russell are extremely strong with great size, Fultz lacks that strength.. I could see him having trouble getting to the rack against guys who match his speed but are stronger..

By no means am Discredting Fultz as a prospect skillwise because he certainly is talented, understand that I question his longevity to play the way he does in the NBA.. GMs have to consider this when taking Fultz as a highend lottery pick

Lonzo Ball has a sweet all around game.  Sixers would be in good shape with either one.  Fultz is a level up from Ball in scoring plus Markelle has a better stroke. Ball’s shot is Butt ugly, whether it goes in or not it isn’t mechanically sound and he won’t be able to expand his game shooting it like that. As far as creating offense and scoring from the line Markelle Fultz is ahead of everyone.  I say this not having seen Jayson Tatum play.

He has a special feel for scoring, and his attacking style is downhill like say, James Harden. Obviously he’s better laterally while not being as freakishly strong as Harden (but still great at absorbing contact).

I noticed that immediately when watching him. He doesn’t just probe the D and attack selectively like most guards (and hell, other top PGs in this class like Ball and D.Smith based on how he’s played early), he’s completely relentless in his ability to get into the lane (while still maintaining control and not being reckless).

Not many glaring weaknesses to his game, though I’d like to see how much of an off-ball game he can develop on a team that’s so dependent on him. If he goes to a team like Philly, he’ll fit great (for the most part) but he will need to adjust to playing without the ball per next to Simmons and Embiid.

He would be a perfect fit in Philly.  I see him and Embid leading the team in scoring as Simmons doesn’t need to score 20 to effect the game.

Fultz could possibly be the best scorer in this year’s draft hierarchy and looks the sort of player who could possibly go onto a team and be the top player from day one even on a bigger franchise. He looks to have a bit of that star quality, other guys may be more consistent but he could be the uy who could win games on his own.

He looks a legit top 5 pick at least this year and I could see him being a nice fit for a team like Dallas or Miami if they don’t improve this year.

Reminds me of some combo of Brandon Roy and Kyrie.  He can play off the ball effectively too and doesnt need to dominate the rock.

I actually think his current comp of Wade/McCollum is perfect.  He has speed, power, hesitation, finesse..
