     They are saying he is out 3-4 weeks.  Not a huge blow for the Heels since the season hasn’t started yet.  Sucks for me because I have tickets to the UNC-Temple game in Annapolis next Friday and I won’t be able to see him play.  This is a chance for Joel Berry to step up big time.  At the end of last year he really started to look good, hitting threes and playing like the guy who was highly recruited in high school.  Hopefully he can comeback for the huge UNC-Maryland game December 1 which might be the game of the year.  Him and Melo Trimble battling would be epic to watch but not sure if Paige will be cleared by then.  Either way, come back soon Marcus.

     Hate to see any injury to a player. Hand injuries in particular can be annoying even after being cleared to play. Luckily it’s not his shooting hand.

     

    In my opinion this could turn out very well for UNC. It gives other players a chance to not be so reliant on Paige and allows Berry and Jackson to take control of the team.

     I am hoping he will be back for Maryland, that game is set up to be an instant classic.  TarHeelRaven, when are we ever going to get rid of the injury bug?  We have certainly been on the unlucky side the past few seasons.

      Reminds me of the Kendall Marshall situation but just glad its before start of the season. Agree Theo Pinson time. I cant wait to really see him show everyone his game. His HS highlights shows so much potential.  I think Joel Berry will be really solid. You gotta be something special to win 3 hs Mr. Basketball awards. What do you guys think of Kenny Williams? He looks like he can really let it fly and he has a solid frame to him. Can he be something special or is he just like another Marcus Ginyard, Shammond Williams solid but doesnt stand out? Gonna be a special season.

         My guys tell me that Kenny Williams has been a pleasent surprise in practice.  His confidence is sky high in the shooting drills and that the coaching staff knew he could let it fly, but his overall game is better than they expected.  I think by mid season he may be getting a consistent 10 mpg, where he is expected to come in and just let them fly and play good defense, a la Wes Miller.  I am hoping by the time he leaves he can be a better Leslie McDonald.

     I’m getting together with a few of my buddies to watch the UNC-Maryland game.  I live outside of DC and about 30 minutes from College Park so I’m the only UNC fan in the group.  I have been talking to one of my friends for a while about the game since we saw it scheduled and he’s been telling me that Trimble is going to destroy Paige.  I really really hope hope Page is back for that one.  Paige knows how big a game that is so I’m sure he’ll be begging to play in that one.  That game has the makings of an instant classic.

    Worst part is he probably won’t even get to play in his "coming home" game that Roy scheduled for him here at UNI. Was looking forward to seeing him back on the same court as his old Iowa AAU teammates.
