valentineNot really a serious NBA draft prospect thread as yet, but I saw a good segment by Fox Sports regarding Manute Bol’s son, Bol Bol.
He’s 6’10" at 15 years old, and has been projected to grow to the 7’4" range. Naturally he’s very skinny.
Their games are apparently different, with him being considered more of a SF or PF. He’s been known to hit a few long range jump-shots….but then again, so was his dad. Manute once hit 6 3pters in a half.
Watch the video on him and let me know….just google ‘Manute Bol’s son’.
Is the NBA be ready for another Manute Bol? I’d absolutely love to see it!

MattP31ParticipantI’ll never forget seeing Manute play in person. I had to be somewhere between 8-10, the year Barkley was traded and Bol was a Sixer. I’d never seen anyone that tall or that skinny. When he was in the game all I could do was stare in amazement at him.

Memphis MadnessParticipantI think Manute was ahead of his time. He could block shots and shut down the lane. Then he was a 3 point threat on the other side of the floor.
Has anyone figured out what his PER or +/- would have been?

MattP31ParticipantGo look on Basketball Reference, they have all kinds of advanced stats. I just looked myself after seeing your post and while his PER was pretty low, the defensive advanced stats were pretty solid

Anton123ParticipantManute never averaged more that a 3 pt attempt per game and he never shot over 31% from 3 for a season.
The guy really was just a shotblocker (a very good one though), who sometimes entertained the crowd with a three point attempt, the guy made 665 field goals in 624 games, he was never an offensive threat.
