prophetmeirParticipantStart off by saying that the legend Magic Johnson was a one of a kind player and has done wonders for the game. Outside of the court Magic has to be one of the biggest camera/ media whores that I have witnessed. He recentley just stated that Lebron and Klay Thompson are on the same level ……. Magic always goes over board on his projections and always has to have something to say. The kid hit 37 in a quarter just say thats great dont compare him to Lebron after that. He just wants his input to reach headlines in someway. I love Klays answer tho he just wants to play for the best team and not try and be the best player.

DolanCareParticipantMagic really said that? That’s ridiculous but in line with the kind of stuff he usually says. I actually don’t mind him as a post-game guy, I think he did a great job interviewing Lebron after his 2nd ring. But he just rambles without any research or thought.
A lot of former-stars get away with saying vapid and often times dumb statements because their pedigree automatically gives them validation. I kind of feel the same way about Jalen Rose- I love the guy. He actually makes me laugh and he gives interesting side info, but his player analysis can be so wrong.

Memphis MadnessParticipantKlay and LeBron are two different players with two different roles.
Although I would put BOTH guys in my five man 2015 team.
Steph Curry and Klay in the backcourt. LeBron and Anthony Davis at the forward spots and Marc Gasol in the middle.
More than likely though Klay will end up on the 3rd team all nba (could jump into 2nd team though) and LeBron will be first team.
Different games totally. Klay does the shooting and finesse scoring. LeBron is a Magic Johnson on steriods type and a battering ram.
LeBron, for all the heat he has taken this year, still could win the scoring title. He is STILL in the top 3 or 4 in the MVP race (along with Curry and Harden and Anthony Davis) and either just ahead or just behind Marc Gasol. I STILL have the Cavs as a legit title contender and LeBron has a shot at being the only guy outside of a Russell Celtics player to go to 5 straight NBA Finals.
Magic is the King of Hyperbole overall. Every year at All Star Weekend he says "The Dunk Contest is BACK!!!" Except for last year of course.
I could see Magic saying "Anthony Davis is a 6’10 Kareem!!!" at some point soon. If he does, he will just be borrowing my comparison.
Funny, he never says that this guy or that guy is the next Magic. haha.
I do think that ’92 Steroids Magic was underrated…
