RUDEBOY_ParticipantWhile watching the Kentucky -Portland game friday..Senior forward Luke Sikma caught my eye..I was a big fan of his dad Jack back in the day..
Luke impressed me with the way he crashes the boards..He’s averaging 13 boards a game ..He averaged 10 rebounds as a freshman..
He displayed great passing skills for a big man..He has good court vision and made passes only a point guard could make..Plus he’s a decent outside shoter …At 6’8 215lbs,he might be too small and not athletic enuff to play power forward in the NBA..He might not even get drafted..But if he goes to play in The Summer League ,he’s going to impress someone with his work ethics and get a training camp invite…

kaceyParticipantI was impressed with his skillset as well. There was one play, although a foul was called before he completed the play, in which he pumped faked at the 3 pt line and put the ball down and drove the lane and had a nice dunk. The move looked kind of Dirk Nowitzki-ish, but Luke obvioulsy is no where near his level.
I was surprised to see Jack’s kid playing at Portland, I didn’t know he had a kid playing. I definitely see the summer league potential, just needs to polish up the offense a little bit more and show more consistency.
Obviously, Knight and Jones were the most impressive on the night. Jones was forcing a bit, but still had a good offensive showing. Knight looked like John Wall with his coast to coast layup drills.
